We have eaten at other BJs. This was our first, (and last), time here. Seated. Waited a bit for drinks. Ordered appetizers. Appetizers arrived. No plates, no silverware. Ordered dinner Made it more than perfectly clear that we wanted soup/salad before entrees. Entrees arrived. Later, and only after asking, soup/salad arrived. Watched our server watching the World Series. Quality of meat? Prime rib with a large amount of fat. Tri-tip was fine Ribs? Dry. Soup? Cheddar broccoli. Awful. Not sure they deserve a two, but because we like other BJs, we can't give it a one. (Although this was definitely a one.)

The sushi was very good, we had 4 different rolls cut and the 880 roll was amazing. My daughter had the airline chicken breast that looked fantastic and tasted the same. My son in law had the double cut pork chop and it came out cut off the bone and re-assembled on the plate, very nice touch. I had the bone-in ribeye that was cooked on their 1600 degree broiler. If you've never eaten a steak this way it is a must. It reminded me of my mom (when I was a kid) cooking a steak with very hi heat in a cast iron pan to where the fat gets crispy and succulent, omg! We decided to try this place for a meal and some beers, we weren't disappointed! This place was a cool old school kind of bar. The booze and food prices were cheap, but very good quality! Our bartender was funny, attentive and quick on the service! We will be back for the barbecue!

We werenât too pleased on our first visit after they opened, but this experience was much better. Service is friendly and attentive. The beef dip sandwich was very good and the Bison meatloaf was also very good. The place is family friendly as well, and youâll find a young crowd enjoying the bar area, and they mix a good drink. It does get crowded and it can be quite noisy. Itâs definitely not the place for an intimate dinner.

I have lived in Newark for 20 years and this used to be a dive bar. Well, no longer, this is the ultimate sports bar, two dozen televisions set to sports events, etc. Every night there is a bar special. Tuesday is Taco night, each taco is a buck. Minimum is three but they are delicious. Wednesday is prime rib, for $14 you get a huge slab or prime rib and two sides. You will find us there most Wednesdays!!Oh yes, they know their drinks as well. The bloody mary is great.
