We were on a road trip and happened upon this place by looking for area restaurants. A little skeptical at first - it is small and has that repurposed fast food feel with laminate top tables - and not very many of those. Dark inside and door left open for air and waiting room outside at the time we arrived. Still, service was excellent, prices certainly right and more than ample food and very quick service. There was a hustling and busling going on in the kitchen - they were in tight quarters - but they were working it to be sure. There was so much authenticity about the place that we were surprised the "chips" weren't home made tasting - still, we sampled most of the menu and would definitely eat here again..........................when they will hopefully be gone from the strip mall!

We were there for an early dinner. Pleasant greeting from the waitress. Self seating. Mostly booths with just a couple tables. The easy to read menu had a good selection of Mexican dishes. We were given warm chips and two salsa flavors. Our meals were delivered quickly, were hot and well plated. Servings were generous. Dining area and restroom were clean. Price was appropriate for value received. The restaurant is a little difficult to find, it's immediately west of a corner barbershop. The on-street parking is a challenge.

Was an easy walk from the Red Lion and walked in to a friend couple work hard in their restaurant. Ordered a Carne Asada burrito to go. It was huge and tasty. You can also sit down inside. I was lucky to get a good burrito at a good price.

Little hole-in-the wall Mexican restaurant at the bottom of Humboldt Hill. Not actually in Eureka, but a couple miles south and off the freeway. It is strange for ANY restaurant to be closed on the weekends and most Mondays, and holidays too. Having family that lives close by gives us the opportunity to drop by anytime we get the craving. Everything, and I mean everything, is homemade here. Very good, no disappointments yet. Even when the place is virtually empty it can take a long time for your order so just be prepared.. It takes time to cook dinner, period... There is a flower bed of cool ajaves (think Tequila cactus-like plants) just outside. (Hope they pull the weeds soon, looks kind of unkept). felt welcomed from the minute we walked in.....nice little restaurant and bar....many specials on food and drinks....we can always tell how good a place is by their homemade salsa, their's makes the grade!! I had shrimp fajitas which were ona crazy $12 special - delicious and way too much to eat with rice and beans, my partner had the chili colorado which he loved and was perfectly spiced. House margies to top it off and we were in heaven!!

This family owned business is a wonderful place for a great Mexican meal in the Eureka area. The food is fresh, served hot and quickly, and the staff is so very friendly and accommodating. We had quite a large party that wanted to come pretty close to closing time. They stayed open for us and we enjoyed a lovely meal with pitchers of their special hibiscus margaritas flowing. This isn't the first time they took care of us - they've been so nice that many of us have started going there with our families. Great food (killer guacamole!) and nice staff - what more do you need when you're hungry? Easy to get to - on the 101 highway!

We each had a fish tostada salad which was brilliant, along with Mexican rice, sour cream and guacamole but neither of us could finish it.The traditional corn chips and home made salsa was too good to pass on.Excellent service and sensible price.

We were looking for a good margarita and found it! A huge basket of hot chips arrived to accompany our drinks. Wanting a light dinner, we opted for the soft shell tacos. Pick your filling; they do the rest. Our delicious carnitas tacos arrived promptly. Efficient and friendly service. You won't go wrong here.

I wanted to try this restaurant after hearing rave reviews. The food was good. And the included in combination plate salad bar was a welcome surprise. Iâd never seen that at a Mexican restaurant. I enjoyed my meal, but couldnât finish it. So, when I asked for a to-go box and saw that it was a styrofoam box, I was surprised. Iâm hoping the owners will consider a more eco-friendly solution.
