Ulala Lodge

Ulala is an eco lodge located in Murrebue, one of the most beautiful beaches in Mozambique. We are close to Pemba (20 minutes from the city centre, 15 minutes from the airport), in the North of Mozambique. We are a small, isolated, exclusive place, with 6 rooms in beautiful and charming bungalows, all with a view on the Indian Ocean. We have taken care to use local materials (coco leaves, bamboos, teak decks, red sand) in all construction, delicately blended with modern facilities to provide comfort with a unique style. Our cosy restaurant / bar is on the beach, and we take great care at giving you the best food we can! Emmanuelle and Georges will be happy to prepare French cuisine with a mix of local flair. Wifi, wireless internet, is available at the restaurant. We can also take you outside the lagoon to the coral reef, to do whale watching. Conditions are ideal for kitesurfing from May to October. Ulala is the ideal accomodation for those looking for tranquillity and natural beauty; the remoteness of the place is an invitation to relaxation. The beauty of the white sandbanks and of the emerald waters shifting with the tides offers a never ending show. The beach is clean and calm. The nearest village is kilometers away. Ulala provides an intimate setting, with a friendly atmosphere, and is perfect for honeymoons, families, couples and friends. We are more a guesthouse than a hotel.

Miti Miwiri

Miti Miwiri which in the local language, means "Two Trees", is located at the heart of the old town. Surrounded by nature and mango trees, impregnated of an imperial atmosphere that reminds the old Portuguese colonial rule, is the perfect place to begin your African experience and to explore the Quirimbas Archipelago; embracing its virgin islands, its turquoise waters, its golden beaches and a Mwani culture still proudly preserved. Our lodge is located on the beautiful Ibo Island, the most famous amongst the thirty coral islands that make up the untouched and wild Quirimbas Arquipelago.Ibo Island, Quirimbas capital for centuries, considered culturally and historically one of the jewels of Mozambique, known as the little sister of “Mozambique Island” because of their architectural similarities, is located in the central area of the islands, or in the heart of the archipelago, just 45 minutes by boat from the mainland.

As soon as Cabo Delgado is stable a must

Reviewed By Fish_Diver_10

Joerg (the manager) did the utmost to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are very big, the bed is good, there is a mosquito net. Only downside; no hot water. After a while (and with the heat) you get used to that, and it becomes actually very nice taking a cold shower in the morning. Breakfast is basic, egg with bread, butter and marmalade plus a cup of tea/coffee.

Impossible comunicate with they. Hotel is very poor. Food is terrible. Cacarouck is present almost everywhere also inside food sometimes. I take one egg and was too much crispy. One animal present inside red part of the eggs. Meat is no possible to eat. Only fish sometimes is accetable. All food served in the afternoon same dinner served at 04.00 PM. Also Pizza is disgusting. I think the immigrant was here for some survival reality because the quality of hotel is very poor. Hygienic also is poor.

The best honeymoon ever

Reviewed By kalibaj

Wow! Anantara medjumbe , what a paradise on earth. We had the luck to experience an absolutely amazing honeymoon, from the time we arrived till we left, we always felt like we belonged there, the staff was amazing, always friendly and willing to make us feel at home; the food, wow, everyday we had something different over the week we stayed, and the famous feitiçeiro(the chef) always served a meal beyond our expectations. The taste, the appearance. I really loved going fishing and was lucky to see over 30 dolphins around the boat. During a pandemic, you really forget the horrible things happening around the world. There really are no words to describe how amazing anantara medjumbe is, we had the luck to be served by the butler abdul and he really made us wish we stayed longer. Its been more than a month since we left and we really miss this gem. Unfortunately not many people know this place and i really hope they advertise more so more people put this on their bucket list. I have been around many 5 star hotels and resorts, and medjumbe is miles better than any of them. The views, the comfort, the uniqueness of sleeping at quissanga island.everything was so perfect. It really is worth it. Thank you Anantara Medjumbe for an unforgettable honeymoon.

Magical Get Away

Reviewed By gunit-kl

We had a wonderful get away from the city to remote, relaxing Ibo Island Lodge. Kissinger helped us organize a trip to the sand bank, we tried to find dolphins too. But then we also spent time in the garden,by the pool, enjoying sunset aperitif from the upstairs terrace taking in the nature and beauty. We did participate in the history and cultural tours which were informative. We would be very happy to return!
