Hampton Inn & Suites Burlington

Burlington's Hampton Inn & Suites is Skagit County's premiere hotel. Brand new in 2006, the award winning hotel features complimentary hot breakfast, 102 spacious rooms and suites; pool/hot tub, internet access, business center and central Burlington location. ADA non-compliance by several hotel staff.

Reviewed By Michelle41522

My service dog has been by my side traveling through more than 10 states as well as several different countries and has been welcomed in countless restaurants, hotels, doctor's offices, and even during my hospital stay. But at the Hampton Inn in Burlington, WA, I was not able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast or the pool area accompanied by my perfectly trained service animal. It's the law: failure to provide services to a person with a service animal is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). A business in violation can lead to heavy penalties and fines from the ADA if it isolates people with disabilities. Verbatim per U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section: "Service animals must be allowed to accompany their handlers to and through self-service food lines, and may not be prohibited from communal food preparation areas." So even though the Hampton Inn claims to be pet-friendly in their advertising, I wouldn't recommend a stay there if you're assisted by a service animal. Or if you must stay and have a service animal assisting you, don't bother packing a swimsuit and bring your own breakfast!

Great stay. Clean and friendly.

Cassandra at the desk was very friendly. Very clean and efficient rooms and fine breakfast options. Great value for the price. A bit loud at times up on the 4th floor but that is why we always travel with a fan. Alltogether a great quick stay.

Clean and Beautiful property

Reviewed By 01DayTripper

Nice property, very clean with an excellent breakfast and eating area. I feel the rate was mid to high and that is the reason for a 4 Out of 5. We did have rooms on the back side of the hotel which had a lovely view. If you are a Marriott rewards member, use your points or a combination of points to being the cost down.

Disappointed

Reviewed By SonriseBMD

Check in went well. Our room was on the first floor, which is never our first choice, but we know that if that is what is available, then that is what is available. But shouldn't Spire/Diamond status allow us our preferred high floor? We like to avoid having to hear people overhead, and the people over us had a pretty loud fight the second night we were there. The suite was large and perfect for us for the 2 nights we were staying. The staff was friendly. The location is ok, close to the highway and you will hear trains. This is a nonsmoking property. The first night there, the odor of weed was really strong in the first floor hall...sigh...at breakfast on Saturday morning every unoccupied table was dirty. The staff were making themselves oatmeal, so we know they were there... Housekeeping for the rooms could have been better. The shower curtain was dirty and the bathroom floor behind the door wasn't clean. The bed felt like it had a well on one side. If it would have been softer that might not have been such a problem but it was really uncomfortable. Overall, the room we had is just tired. The toilet seat needs to be replaced. The mattress is worn. The fridge made a high-pitched noise all the time and the tv screen dims after 3-4 minutes making it difficult to see. We don't expect to travel back to the area. If we were going to do that, we would research other places to stay, even though we are pretty loyal to the brand. Hopefully other rooms are in better shape.

For $70.00, we didn't expect a palace.

Reviewed By Chuck E

Since this was our last night on our road trip before heading down I-5 South toward Seattle, we wanted a place close to the freeway since we were leaving during rush hour traffic. It provided that service. The motel was fine; a little aged but for $70.00 a night, we couldn't complain. The only problem was the constant noise from traffic entering and exiting the freeway and some trains that apparently were close enough to hear them all through the night.

Motel 6

Average.

Reviewed By Ramil_Rex

Its pretty expensive for motel. Everything here is average at a motel standard. Nothing to write home about. There are few motels/hotels on the same street, so you have a choice. Not much within walking distance from the establishment.
