LOCATION - We really liked the location of this hotel because it was back off of the road away from the hub bub of traffic. The first night it was quiet but the 2nd night a semi truck parked out on the road leading into the hotel and we could hear it running most of the night. I would request a room on the back side of the hotel as there is a pond and fields in the back for lighter sleepers. DECOR - The hotel was fairly updated as they had wide planked wood looking floors and barn doors leading into the breakfast buffet area. CHECK IN: We traveled to ther Comfort Suites in Burlington, IA for a family reunion from 4/24 - 4/26. We arrived at the hotel on Sunday after lunch hour and although it wasn't check in time yet the receptionist was very helpful and found a room next to other family members. It was nice to be able to go up to our suite to freshen up after a 3.5 hour drive. THE ROOM - The room was very spacious - when you entered the room the bathroom was on the left, then there was a sitting room with a couch and finally the two queen beds with a large closet. The room was clean and we had all of the towels that we needed. The two queen beds were comfortable but there were (4) smaller pillows and I wished there were just (2) larger pillows. The one thing that we didn't like is that there was only one regular caffeinated coffee and the rest were decaf. We wished we noticed this before it was so late in the evening. We were in Room 209 and there was a broken tile when you entered the bathroom that just felt weird when you stepped on that area. BREAKFAST BUFFET - In the morning, we went down for the breakfast buffet and the hostess was a wonderful lady & I should have written down her name. She welcomed us to the buffet and showed us the entire spread so we knew what was available. She really made our morning and I would return for her hospitality alone. She is an employee that you really want to retain because she really does a wonderful job! The buffet has pretty much all you would want - juices (orange juice, apple juice), milk, coffee, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, waffles (cinnamon waffles were awesome), omelettes, sausages, cereals, muffins, bagels, and toast. We asked if we could have some regular coffees for our room and we were graciously provided with regular coffee. AMENITIES - There is an indoor swimming pool which looked very nice & we brought swim suits but we just didn't have time to take a dip. There was also a workout room but we didn't have time to use this either. We also noticed there was a business center with a computer in case you needed to look up anything or print anything out - airline tickets. CHECK OUT - It was a breeze as we just handed our key cards to the front desk and they said we were good to go.

Reviewed By KWA11Do NOT give these people access to your card until you have seen your room . The first floor room was filthy, smelled like smoke , windows could not be secured . The room was unsafe as well as unsanitary. Personnel refused to refund all or any money that was charged . For safety reasons and Covid fear, it was not worth staying the night . On the other hand , there is a wonderful Comfort Inn and Suites close by , clean , well lit , and a smoke free campus . Buyer beware at Quality Inn Burlington Iowa

Reviewed By latreseg2014This is a run down place. The carpet is dirty, the bathroom toilet seat was broken, the tub/shower and floor were not cleaned properly. Also low water pressure from the the sink and shower. The beds have nasty stains on them. The towels are stiff and hard. The rooms are outdated. The public restroom was so nasty the men's toilet was full of dookie and tissue. This place is a dump and the pictures that they have posted on their website are inaccurate. None of the rooms are that bright or clean; not even the hallways.
