Little Bavaria Restaurant

Phoned to book and surprised that the restaurant was very busy on a Monday night. But did make it in. Very welcoming and speedy friendlyservice..;managed to get our order in before one of the several large groups. Ordered the schnitzel...delicious cream of broccoli was included as was tasty rye bread. Schnitzel was OK...I think I had been expecting a bit more for a restaurant obviously so popular and which had been there for so many years.Maybe I ordered the wrong one...I will be back and try another of their signature dishes

Orestes Greek Kouzina

Went for dinner with friends. I ordered the rack of lamb ($28) as I normally do when going to a Greek restaurant. First, they screwed up my order. Twenty minutes later ( while everyone else at the table had started their meals) they bring me my plate with four « loonie » size lamb pieces on the bone. No apology and the smallest rack of lamb I have ever seen in my life! I swear there was about one ounce of meat in my plate. To add insult to injury, they brought us four glasses of ouzo with grapefruit juice. Three of us do not care for ouzo. I would have much preferred them to :a) give me a good rack of lamb; and,b) offer me a discount for what I consider high way robbery!I cannot even comment on the taste of the meat as there was too little of it to savour! Not only did they charge us $30 for a bottle of Como Sur which sells for $13.95 at the liquor store but to charge me $28 for four loonie size medallions and refer to it as a rack of lamb is simply wrong. What a huge disappointment. Never going back there , EVER.

Pete runs a great show here. Excellent location, right off the main road in an old Canada Post office. The store isnt huge but roomy enough. Pete has a variety of delicassies on display, and the prices are really decent. But most of all, Pete just makes you want to smile. He greets everyone like an old friend and its obvious the customers love him. You NEED to stop here if you're coming through PA
