The surrounding area is one of the country's best destinations for outdoor adventures. Walk across the Mile High Swinging Bridge to Grandfather Mountain's Linville Peak, the highest point in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or grab your bike and head to Pisgah National Forest, featuring over 200 miles of exciting trails.

Not bad for a short stay

Overall it wasn't bad. Staff was nice, room was clean but a bit dated and dark. Some things need updated. The bathroom was relatively clean but showing its age. The room was clean but it too was kind of dated. I know the couches don't get much use but red velour? It's time.

This was a great place to stay. The room was very clean. It was nice and quiet. The gardens were beautiful with lots of flowers and a few chipmunks running around. The owner was really nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms had lots of interesting knick knacks and was very homey. The price was very reasonable. We will definitely be staying her next time we are in the area.

We came here to visit Tweetsie with our grandkids. Overall this place is not bad but is in need of “spiffing up”. Things are just looking tired and in need of at least a bit of fresh paint and a thorough cleaning. Nothing bad, just not great. Staff is pretty invisible it seems. No one really manning the desk or watching the breakfast area. Rooms and linens don’t seem as clean as fresh as they should be.

Excellent experience at this conveniently located site. I expected clean and comfortable accommodations and they delivered but I was highly impressed by the staff that went beyond just friendly and professional to a level of true "hospitality" that made me feel special. I spoke with two different front desk persons, a food service member and a cleaning person with all being friendly and helpful. I recommend highly.

Location is excellent, plenty of parking, close to restaurants. We checked in late, after a little hiccup with our room not being ready, they are short staffed, so please be patient and kind to front desk. Mary helped us check in without any more problems, she is very friendly, efficient, truly amazing service, Mary is the best! Room was very clean, bed is comfortable, even though we are right on the main road, it was quiet and cozy. Nice place when you visit Boone.
