It is located some 25 kilometers north east of Geneva's city centre, and since the 1970s it has become part of the Geneva metropolitan area. It lies on the shores of Lake Geneva and is the seat of the district of Nyon. The town has (as of December 2016) a population of 20,272. It is connected to the rest of Switzerland by way of the Route Suisse, the A1 Motorway and the railways of the Arc Lémanique.

Looks like an endless happy hour. Impressive wine supply. Limited menu with many tartars, salads& cheese. Warm place, full of life.

We went in a group on a Saturday late afternoon. The selection at Winemoon is varied, and offers quite some choice, especially for Swiss wines. However, the atmosphere and the furniture didn't convey comfort. We were left with the impression that, potentially, this is a much more enjoyable place at late night. I ordered a Gewurztraminer but couldn't finish it because it was unusually strong. Others ordered Spanish reds, Swiss rosés and Swiss whites. On the plus side, the owner was able to satisfy the request of one of us who didn't drink wine and opted for a cocktail instead - not an easy service to find, especially since we were in a wine bar which usually doesn't serve other kinds of alcoholic drinks. A list of tapas was also available but we didn't choose it. On the whole, I would like to give it a second chance, perhaps once the furniture has been changed.
