Pho 32 & Shabu

My son wanted to eat at this place forever and the food in fact is very good, strong original flavors. Service is friendly and willing to explain options/selections which can be confusing if you are not too familiar with cuisine. Each table has a burner for shabu and table top cooking. The feel is of Korean fast food place. There are ample tables, the floor is concrete, utensils ( chopsticks) are metal. The place is white and spacious.Very simple look and feel.Overall not my kind of place, but food is really good and recommend to everyone who likes pho or noodles. Just know you are coming got food.

Bistro Du Saigon

We ate at Bistro Du Saigon just after its opening last week and my 4 dot rating is what I believe it will deserve after ironing out a few early days kinks. I got a glowing review of it in my elevator and after eating here couldn't agree more. The beef sate was the best I've ever had and was sorry I was sharing it with my husband. Perfectly cooked, beautifully spiced and should be served with rice and salad as an entrée. The peanut sauce accompaniment was so good I wouldn't let the waiters take it away. The dumplings were deep fried, crispy, with a savory pork filling and a tasty dipping sauce. Both starters came with a nice, fresh salad in a light dressing. For an entrée we chose a Vietnamese grilled shrimp and rice.Perfectly cooked shrimp atop fried rice filled with some surprising veg, like zucchini. The service was a little awkward as you might expect in the first few days but the young, charming staff was eager to please, complied quickly to all requests and when it came to delivering food to the table were real pros. The restaurant décor could be a bit more sophisticated but hard to complain when your waiters look like they've just walked out of GQ and are so accommodating. But a little extra " French bistro atmosphere aside from the background jazz, would make it feel more upscale. It's BYOB, always a plus for us and even if you don't live around the corner like we do, it's worth a trip to Fort Lee eat here.

This is a little gem of a place, perfect for these cold winter days. Pho soups are so healthy and light, and tasty. The summer rolls and the spring rolls are great. There is ample parking immediately abutting this place. There is a superb, charming bakery next door. This is a BYOB place so you might want to bring a bottle of wine or some beer.
