Had the most amazing sushi here and the chef is so sweet, takes pride in his food. He is always looking to see if we enjoyed the food and has a beaming smile when he sees enjoy the food. Sushi will never taste the same!

We were trying to get a good lunch after the Sagano romantic train ride from Saga Torokko which ends at Kameoka Torokko station, and chanced upon this gem. It was about 5 mins by foot from the station, and was located along a row of houses, next to an adventure centre. Was greeted by a friendly Chef and his Wife. We ordered sashimi, Unagi rice and sushi set. The variety of fish served was good and of a high grade. According to chef, the salmon served is known as Shinshu salmon. We liked its very smooth texture, moderate fats and no strong fishy taste. Overall, the food served was of high grade and good quality. We paid about y$2500 per person for the meal. Highly recommended to drop by if you want a good sushi meal and friendly service.

For sure you will enjoy very special traditional Japanese dishes whilst viewing the beautiful Japanese garden from your cozy private room. They serve all kind of traditional Japanese dishes in reasonable price. Very quiet countryside and relaxing place.
