This place is okay but the food and drinks are overpriced, for example a small beer - Grimbergen ambree 33cl was 6.30 Euros and a small water 4.50 Euros. The french fries were small and greasy. The waiters were not particularly attentive. The place is done out in a sort of wild west style. There was plenty of room and it wasn't noisy when we were there.Bonjour. Je réponds en Français à votre avis. Nous pratiquons des prix corrects dans la restauration. Le prix de la bière est inférieure à ce qui se fait dans 90% des pubs à Marseille. L'eau est en bouteille de 1L, de l'evian, pas plastique mais en verre, et les prix sont aussi corrects. Je ne comprends pas votre avis et votre choc aux niveaux des prix.

I don't eat much meat...so I will recommend to try the moelleux (?) Au chocolat! It's an absolute delight! Very friendly staff,verry cute waiters,too :-) Also a good try: salade de chevre chaud-delish! And the plateau estival-the perfect dinner snack-although a lot smaller than in the menu pic,it's just the perfect size!

This is the second time we've been to this restaurant in a week and both times we were served by the same young waitress, who didn't appear to like her job very much. We were kept waiting in between courses, our children had long finished their main meals by the time ours arrived, which meant it was difficult to keep them entertained while we waited for and ate ours. There was jo apologies for the delay in serving us and no mints at the end (which other tables seemed to be given without asking). We had to ask for colouring pens for the children due to the lengthy wait for our food (these have always previously just been given to the kids). The food was okay, previous visits to Hippopotamus have made us advocates of this restaurant chain but we were sorely disappointed by the service on these two occasions.

Maybe my standards are not as high as some other reviewers here or maybe they have improved since..but I thought the food was OK. Nothing special but what you would expect from a chain like this. I definitely don't have anything to complain about other than that a colleague who had been there before said that if I liked my steak medium rare I should ask for well done as otherwise it will come out rare..so I did, and that was not the case, it came out well done..Our party arrived quite late in the evening as well so appreciated to be able to get food at that time.
