We ate here last month and had a wonderful meal and experience. We ate here again with friends to introduce them to this restaurant and we were embarrassed and disappointed. Our waitress seemed indifferent and not friendly or engaging. After waiting for 20 minutes for our food, the waitress came over and told his the kitchen had gotten "backed up" so it would be another 15 minute wait. The restaurant was not busy at all. The real disappointment was with the food. My wife and I ordered tomato fresh mozzarella salad. The salads were were truly horrid. No salt and the quality of the tomatoes were truly terrible. I tasted my wife's salad to see if it was just mine, and honestly, a restaurant of this calibre should not serve poor quality ingredients. The tomatoes were mushy, flavorless and tasteless. We ordered the 1/2 chicken which again, was an amateurish creation at best. The skin was so salty and the tzatziki sauce that it sat in was bland. The side dishes (mushrooms, spinach, whipped potatoes and fries) were all very good and better than the main courses. Spending almost $500 for dinner and walking away feeling ripped off is never a good feeling. This could have been an off night, but I think Michael Symon really needs to send in some people to have dinner and see what they are getting for the money. I would not recommend this restaurant to people after this experience.

Fabulous variety of meat on big ass scewers! The meat was cooked amazingly and such a variety any meat lovers dream. The cold salad bar was good. The hot side dish was ok. The lobster bisque was tasty but no lobster pieces were ever seen/found Service was very good. Upsetting was desert not advertised as excluded from the all you can eat price until after the bill came!

London Chop House

I have had to do business dinners quite often throughout the years and surprisingly...I have to say Detroit has delivered one of the best experiences for the palate, mind and senses in the London Chop House! The noise level was low with the dulcet tones of a decent pianist who didn’t overpower your ability to hear one another! Our waiter, Pete was incredible ...Jillian the hostess made sure we were welcomed by the most accommodating doorman, Dorian (who welcomed the rest of our party when they arrived a few minutes after we did) and the overall service was impeccable!I write this review after years of selecting the top restaurants in Las Vegas with every Michelin rating for “years”!!! Top restaurants for years within the Disney properties in Orlando and top restaurants in Boston & Nee York and have them fail...sometimes miserably (Bouchon/Las Vegas in particular) where this “old world” experience at “The London Chop House” exceeded expectations! The fillet mignon was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The crab bisque was one of the best I’ve ever had...the pork chops were oohed and ahhhhed over....the beef dish appetizer for the table was INCREDIBLE...I would order it as my meal the next time :)Well...in short...I can't recommend this restaurant enough! You won’t be disappointed and the staff “really” takes pride in working here and they make you feel welcome!

Vertical Detroit

This is a nice restaurant serving a variety of entre's and full menu bar located in the downtown setting that is in almost walking distance to sports arena and theater district. Serving staff was polite, nice, and prompt and the food quality was outstanding and very much unique for the similar food items available at competing restaurants. The appetizers were unique and so were the entre's of seafood, steak, and burger. The drinks had some unique names and were sumptuous.
