This is suppose to be the 29's take on a prime steakhouse offering; unfortunately, I've never made it past the bar. It seems I'm always traveling thru solo; so, the bar is my landing spot. Besides, they have a cool "bar only" menu during happy hour, that hits the spot if you're not starving. The restaurant itself is nice, and has a classy and modern decor. The dining area seemed empty last visit; but to be fair, it was only 5:45pm. The main menu has your usual cuts of beef, and fish, along with the typical sides and salads found in an a la carte steakhouse. The food at the bar has been consistently good, including the tuna, with the sliced fillet mignon salad being the standout. The beer is ice cold, and the service was great. Normally I wouldn't review without a take on the full menu, but the bar area seemed so separate fro the main dining room, it's worth covering. All n all, I say give it a go....

Unique fine dining experiences have all but disappeared in Southern California. Menus seem to have shrunk to steaks, lobster, fish and ribs with few creative dining adventures you can get excited about. After looking for a special restaurant for our anniversary, we heard some good feedback about a restaurant in the local Fantasyy Springs casino in Indio, CA. We went there for our special occasion and we really enjoyed the entire experience. The restaurant is upstairs, in a niche area off the main promenadeânot too flashy, but private. No looky-loos looking in the window or throngs of people passing by. The ambience is warm and luxurious without being stuffy. Only tables here, no booths. Our server was friendly and attentive and offered us a wide variety from the full bar before ordering. The menu has an extensive and very tempting selection of appetizers and wide variety of entrees, as well as some interesting sushi selections. Choosing one dish was really challenging, there were so many enticing dishes. I chose a Miso-sake glazed sea bass, and my husband chose the Kobe beef meat loaf stuffed with white cheddarâand we shared. Although my sea bass, a personal favorite, was delicious, I could hardly stop stealing bits of my husbands meat loaf. It was bursting with flavor! Throughout the meal, the server continued to attentive but not intrusive. And After this leisurely dinner, we had NO room for any of the delicious desserts. But they were so tempting we ordered a couple to take home. We wanted to order the Bistro gourmet cookie box, but we were told they sell out early and oftenâso if you want the cookie box, order early! We ended up taking home a warm chocolate pecan pie and a pastry wrapped banana dish. Both were excellent, but I suspect would be better if enjoyed in the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant, rather than out of a styrofoam box in the front of the TV later that night, LOL. All in all, this was a wonderful celebration of our anniversary, and we plan to repeat it again this year. It will be hard to force ourselves to try something new on the menu, and we have resolved in the future to go more often than once a year! The overall expense was not out of range of our expectations for fine dining, and we felt it was well worth the price. After our dinner we spent an hour or two on casino floor, and my anniversary celebration was topped off by a $500+ win on a 50¢ Slot machine! Great memorable night!

We enjoy Sizzler, primarily for the salad bar as our meal. We are not heavy eaters, so the variety of creative salads, the soups, and the chicken wings are great. But not here. The wings were all crust and there were few salads to choose from. There were two unidentifiable dessert choices plus soft serve. Plates were available only from the server who did not appear often. They are trying hard, but this location is not up to Sizzler standards. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, Sarah. We're sorry to see that you had an unsatisfactory visit with us, here at our 81-760 Hwy 111 location. Our expectations are for every meal to be perfect and every dining experience to be great, so when we hear that this falls short we are not happy with ourselves.
