On Friday evening our group of 4 couples traveled from Greenville, AL to Big Mikeâs in Andalusia. As expected, there was a wait. We were initially told it would be an hour before we were seated. However, it was not nearly that long. The restaurant accommodated our large group easily at one large round table. Very quickly our waitress provided our drinks and delicious appetizers of fried mushrooms and crab claws. Our party ordered a variety of entrees including Ribeye, New York Strip, Filet Mignon and Oysters Bienville. Sides included huge, fluffy baked potatoes, sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli. Everyone loved the food. All steaks were prepared as ordered. My filet mignon, medium rare, was so tender it could be cut with a butter knife. It was such a fun evening! Our waitress was so accommodating that she even took our group picture.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Very easy to find, very large selection, wonderful service and great food. We were there late and lingered and did not feel pressure to leave. Excellent wait staff with good followup, remembered our additional take out order and kept our water and tea refilled without having to ask. Looking forward to my next trip back to the area - will be sure and eat here

We've been going to Hilltop meats since we bought our vacation home on Grant Lake, AL 11 years ago.They make the best sausage, patties, links, mild or hot..all is delicious. It's like going back in time when townsGrew their own meats, vegetables and the butcher cut what you wanted, and the women canned, and froze vegetables Fresh from the garden. Now when we go we bring back 20 pounds of hot sausage or more to share with my mom, and close friends.They do ship their stuff, but they prefer we bring it to them on our return trips. LUCKY US! Their restaurant in the back Brings fresh shrimp and fish from Destin and they do make some mean fried shrimp. There is usually a line the nightsYou go there, Nothing fancy there, just home cooked, fresh food, good company, and happy people!
