The service is good and usually on Thursdays and Fridays there is live music on the lower section. Take your own handsoap....the bathrooms never have toilet paper....If hungry, I suggest the hot wings and french fries

It's a very popular restaurant for locals probably because fish is a treat in this mountain town. Unluckily if you like fish and are accustomed to eat it the restaurant is not impressive. The fish soup was full of greasy liquid and the fish and seafood in it not particularly tasty. The service is ok, price more than affordable and the place very plain.

Home cooked food served buffet style. Wonderful traditional Nicaraguan dishes as well as salads and vegetables. Good choice for all. Especially large groups. sure to please children as well as adults. One of the best meals I have had in Nicaragua!

Here in Matagalpa there is a great little Mexican restaurant -- great ambience with clever happy decoration, fresh and delicious food, excellent service and an owner couple who are lovely enchanting. I highly recommend it.Matagalpinos, por favor, notan este chiquito restaurante GUAKMOLE que vale la pena probar -- lindo ambiente con buena y fresca comida mexicana, excelente atención y propietarios encantadores. I've traveled extensively throughout Nicaragua, and El Chile Picante, by far, has the best Burrito. This burrito may even be the best burrito in Central America. it's mix of pineapple, El pastor, onions, peppers, beans and shredded cheese is what I imagine heaven must taste like. The staff are also a lot of fun to be around. They're proud, but I think that comes with being the Nicaraguan Beatles of Burrito fabrication.If you are not in the mood for a mind-blowing burrito, their top-secret torta is tasty as well. they're other meat options are pretty good, but the Al Pastor is next-level - something that you would think only a company like Apple or Google would have the smarts to develop.they're currently working on a breakfast burrito as well. while still in development, this burrito already evokes thoughts of beautiful white doves being released and briefly transports you to Valhalla. Additionally, at 80 cord, will fill you up for a good while.seriously, this is my favorite place to eat in Matagalpa. it also is in Park Dario, which means you could eat your dinner and then walk across the street to Besame and have a scoop of ice cream. this is an awesome mix and I do it frequently.

This is a nice coffee bar downtown, with a good atmosphere here to relax and read or surf the web.Has a wooden furniture mellow vibe here I liked.I didn't eat here just had coffees.It was clean and calm.Has books and guide books to read while you wait for your order to arrive.WIfi is here also.Normal coffee bar menu of drinks. Staff was nice.

I've been coming here for years. By far the classiest spot and best steakhouse in town. Quality meat, perfectly cooked and good service. Perfect for business and not bad at all for a family outing! Prices are very reasonable for a quality steak!

had a large group here. they managed the group fairly well and the food was pretty good. The tostones with seafood/shrimp were a little weird with a cream/mayonaise sauce on it. I wouldn't recommend that again. They had a terrific hot sauce made of Jolokia chile.

Mojito was excellent, although pricey. Guess we pay for the view which is fun to overlook the busy street. Carne asada was thin, over-cooked (ordered medium rare) and flavorless except for abundance of salt. Street meat is far superior!
