In Stanley you will not find a big choice of restaurants for dinner but honestly, with the quality available, who cares. This bistro offers pub style meals, but quality plus. I have never had a better chicken schnitzel in my life, moist tender, a beautiful thin garlic cream sauce - OMG. The restaurant area itself is a bit sterile, but you can eat in the main bar near the fire place, which we did. The hotel staff were friendly without being intrusive, and woah, the wine cellar is to die for

We came here for breakfast on a rather cold blustery morning and were greeted with a warm welcome by the lady and gentleman running this inspiring cafe. The breakfasts were perfect , I had a lamb pastie that was perfection and delicious . Really a major cut above the rest.

Finally a seafood restaurant that serves something other than fish and chips.Beautiful setting and friendly, albeit slow service. Oysters were delicious and so was the soup of the day. We then had flounder- delicious. The lamb cutlets were overcooked unfortunately. Delicious desserts to finish off. There are a few German dishes (Kassler and Roulade) on the menu, I would have preferred even more seafood dishes. This is a restaurant to come back to!

We have been a few time before the last time about 18 months ago,the new upstairs it very nice and spacious, service friendly. the menu is quite large and most prices at very good like $22 for garlic prawns, overall it still has the essence of the old place, which for us is good. Wine starts from $26 per bottlewe had the lobster cocktail and oysters to start both were very good particularly the local oysters, for main we had garlic prawns and Battered banana prawns, batter was light and prawns very good. We had a very good two course dinner, and will be going back again during our stay
