Best Seafood food near St. Petersburg, Northwestern District, Russia

Reviews on Seafood food in St. Petersburg, Northwestern District, Russia. Frequently referred to as the "Venice of the North," almost every palace and state building in this grand city was constructed by an Italian architect. Saint Petersburg is Russia's most westernized city, with no ancient history, it looks very contemporary - just as it was meant to be when Peter the Great founded it in 1701. Some say that living in this "northern capital" is like living in a museum.

Ordered seafood noodles with oyster sauce but saw plenty of chicken pieces and nearly 3 prawns in a plate covered in milky tasteless something! The formula of "Coconut mango smoothie" is easy: just mix coconut milk and add several portions of sickly sweet mango syrop. No dense structure, no freshness. Just sugar! The interior is nice, cats are smiling all around but not me.Thank you for feedback. We are very sorry to upset you. We will certainly analyze the situation with the staff.

Accidentally bumped into this place after a business meeting nearby. The expectations were low, but we appreciated a beautifully decorated summer terrace and decided to give it a chance. Not disappointed one bit. The food was totally excellent - perfectly served and wonderfully prepared. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, great design not only of the terrace, but inside the restaurant too. Loved a good selection of ciders. One of my best places I have visited in Saint Petersburg.

When we arrived at this supposed 5 star restaurant at 8pm, there were few patrons which didn’t seem to fit with a 5 star establishment. The place was well appointed. The menu was large, offering fish from all over the world but we ordered local fish after being explained by the only one who could speak English. The dishes were tasty and the presentation was good, but the portions were very small and we left needing something else to eat after ordering 2 appetizers and 3 entrees for the 3 of us. The butter was herring flavored and not a pleasing taste to us. Due to an English language misinterpretation, we were charged twice for a drink, which they were unwilling to resolve. In a city of many restaurants, there are better options. We are really sorry that you took us only two points. We will do all our best to make the situation better. Thank you very much for your assistance.

We were so happy to experience allSeasons! It truly is an amazing lunch or dinner experience reminiscent of Michelin rated tasting menus in San Francisco or New York but far more reasonable! The food is truly delicious and exceptionally creative - from the tasty mushroom filo in the shape of two cigars in an ashtray (all edible), to the “open” ravioli with tuna and caviar, to the rabbit and gnocchi soup, to the langostino with fresh fruit, to the awesome duck, you cannot do wrong on this menu! Seasonal dishes change frequently with the fresh meat and produce markets but the incredible culinary skill seems constant. The caramel dessert and the chocolate truffle buckwheat were also exceptional! Like with other spectacular restaurants, the staff was excellent and the ambiance was first class!Thank you for your feedback, for a detailed story about your visit to our restaurant! We are very glad that we were able to please you with the tastes of seasonal dishes! We will be happy to wait for you in your next visit !

Mr. Bo

We visited Mr Bo following Trip Advisor reviews. I had checked the menu for prices but not the prices of the wine menu. The cheapest bottle of wine was Rubles 2300 or £29. It was a dry white wine. Our friend had reflux to certain wines so we had to select a dearer wine. Unfortunately there were only a few other wines at Rubles 3 to 4000 and they went up and up in price. Rubles 16,000 was not out of order. There were no red wines in the Rubles 2000 region. I think there were about 3 or 4 wines at £46, ours was £57. It was a McLaren Vale Shiraz that would have cost £7.50 to purchase in the UK so I assume a little more in Russia. Hence we only had one bottle of wine between four. The food was good but the portions were quite small. On returning to our four star hotel we ordered a pleasant bottle of Italian wine for Rubles 1200 (£15) and a pizza to fill one of our guests up. I was surprised there were no house wine options. The restaurant was full so I guess Russian diners have more exposable income than other nationalities. Wine in the supermarkets was not as outrageously expensive so it was all mark up. Good food but expect to spend as much for one bottle of wine as the food for four people. Unless you are teetotal give it a miss. What a shame because the food was excellent.Pam F, thank U for the feedback!Prices on wine depends on exchange rate. I suppose U know it.Shiraz paxton AAA cost 24 £ in the shop (winesearcher). Not 7.50.Have a nice food and wine!Best regards, Mr.Bo
