We dined late after the opera. After agreeing to both have the signature Beef Stroganoff another person pointed out that the Baroness Stroganoff whose dish we were eating was in fact just a few tables away. Well, that made the evening. The music, ambience and service was as great as the food.

About us - mono-kitchen "Dumplings from around the world." No (almost) nothing more, that can prevent you taste wonderful pelmeni, khinkali, ravioli, manti, dim sum, gedza, vareniki...
We spotted this place on the way to Faberge museum. There was some queue at lunchtime. We went here after the museum around 17:00, then there was no queue. This was probably our best eating experience in St.Petersburg. Don't expect top restaurant level but if you enjoy pelmeni (dumplings) you would like this place a lot. They serve 10 different dumplings from various cultures: russian (pelmeni), georgian (hinkali), asian (dim-sam), japonese (gedza), siberian and central asian(manti), etc. The service was super attentive and intelligent and the prices were very reasonable - especially for the city center.

Puri,is a well appointed large restaurant, offering a varied menu.on arrival I looked around and took note of what customers were eating.lamb and veal chops, kreplich soup, assorted meats and chicken.I was heartened by this and looked forward to lunch.
being part of a group, our menu was preordered.as we sat down the food arrived.a choice of vegeterian salad or a russian meat starter.I chose the latter, but was served the former.the main course was chicken kiev or stuffed tomato.I received both, passing on the non chicken dish to my wife and friends.
the food was okay without being special.the kiev was filled with butter, which made it very rich.I enhanced the flavour with tobasco.improved slightly.we ordered four beers, which despite constant reminders, took forever to arrive.towards the end of the main course.dessert was a choclate chiffon cake.I passed on this.
the staff dont speak much english, which makes things difficult.I'd like to return and sample the main menu.decide for myself what to chose and eat.
on my next visit to Saint Petersburg, will give Puri another opportunity.

We ended our Russia trip with a fabulous birthday dinner here.
Food here was fantastic. For starters, we tried the octopus carpaccio, crab salad , chicken liver pate, beef tartarte.
Among them the crab salad was the best.
We also tried the beef oxtail soup and the seafood soup. Nothing wow over there, but it was delicious all the same.
For the main course, we tried the beef fillet, ox tongue and the duck breast. The beef and the ox tongue was really nice, will absolutely recommend them!
As it was my mom’s birthday, I just asked them on the spot whether it was possible to put a candle in our dessert and was surprised with a firework like candle!
Absolutely top notch service. The price was also very reasonable as well, we spent around 8000 Rubles for 5 person. Will recommend this place to anyone who is visiting St. Petersburg.

Beautiful designer restaurant in the very center of historic St. Petersburg, with the close up views to St. Isaac's Cathedral. Creative Italian cuisine by Michelin starred Andrea Accordi and restaurant Chef Valerio Andrisani
We dined at the fabulous Percorso restaurant at the start of our visit to St. Petersburg, in Russia. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The interior décor of the restaurant is lovely and clean. After dining at this restaurant, we were impressed with the food that we had, which was fabulously seasoned to give an array of deliciously fresh and authentic tastes and flavours. The food was simply delicious, with the usage of the herbs was just perfect to ensure natural flavours of the dishes. Our first course, which can sometimes be an indicator to the overall food standard of a restaurant, were superb. After a great first course, our mains took the cooking level to new heights of excellence, as everything was seasoned perfectly to ensure delicious and natural flavours. The ingredients used for the mains tasting so fresh, there was a feeling that Italy was in St. Petersburg backyard. The aromas of the dishes were so beautiful, there was a feeling of an Italian breeze in the air. The service matched the food quality with wonderful waiting staff. The wines accompanying our food were of the highest quality. All in all this was a heavenly start to our visit to St. Petersburg, and we left extremely satisfied with our dining experience at Percorso. There's a part of St. Petersburg that has been taken over by Italian warmth, fantastic food, Italian tastes and flavours, and Percorso is responsible for this.

Taste to eat is a restaurant of the new Russian cuisine in the centre heart of Saint-Petersburg realizing successfully an ambitious aim - to represent unusual sight on traditional gastronomy. It's the second restaurant by spouses Alexey Ten and Christina Vasilyeva who opened a restaurant at waterfront Regatta which has been loved by residents and guests of Krestovsky island for a long time.
A real gem of a restaurant . a real modern take on traditional Russian dishes. surprising textures and tastes, and interestingly presented by very friendly and pleasant staff. try the Russian wine too. it was good and good value.Thank you so much for your warm review! We are really happy to know that you enjoyed our vision of Russian cuisine and will be happy to see you again very soon!

Sintoho means Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong and its menu reflects the cuisine of these destinations. Beautiful restaurant with breathtaking Asian design by world famous Yasukhiro Koichi of Spin Design studio in the very center of historic St. Petersburg. Creative pan-asian cuisine is led by Singaporean Chef Leong Then, supervised by Michelin-starred Andrea Accordi.
The restaurant can boast not only great location in the historical center, but also absolutely charming interior, impeccable and courteous service and very private and peaceful atmosphere. Ideal place for business negotiations or a couple’s night out. Very sophisticated wine list will definitely make wine connoisseurs happy. As for the food... well, somewhat disappointed. Everything was OK, but merely that. The dishes were rather plain, lacking that desired Asian taste bouquet, which one would even had better chance to enjoy in far more cheaper Asian restaurants. The only memorable dish was the desert - green tea ice-cream has won my heart for sure. The tea itself by the way was excellent either. Despite some negatives, I would like to give this place a second chance someday. Hopefully they will manage to improve their cuisine.

Restaurant has fantastic wine list up to 100 positions and water menu - up to 50 positions from all over the world. We offer the best dishes of Russian cuisine: chicken-kiev, olivier salad with quails, hand made pelmeni and lamb leg with barley - mmmm!... Restaurant also offers Georgian and Thai authentic menus, created with assistance of our colleagues from Intercontinental Bangkok and Intercontinental Tbilisi. During the summer our guests can enjoy the magical view of the historical part of St. Petersburg from our new Terrace and enjoy the beauty of the lighted bridge across the Neva as it raises to allow ships to pass through the city. Terrace is protected of wind and rain. It's really cozy in any weather!
This 8th floor restaurant (accessible by a staircase from the 7th floor) has a pleasant atmosphere and good food for a decent price given the location. The service, however, was very slow, with long pauses between courses. Dinner took us almost 2 hours.

Meat Restaurant from Redmans Kitchen youtube team. This is simple and cozy restaurant. Best place for steak lovers!
I just love this place!! Food is great, environment "Whiskey in the Jar" like and very affordable prices.
If you look for service this is not the place for you, however food, specially burgers, are outstanding. I definitely recommend a visit to this place if you are like me that enjoys good food over service.
P.S. drinks are cheap!!!
