The history of McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants began when Bill McCormick purchased Jake's Famous Crawfish Restaurant located in Portland, Oregon, and brought the more than 100-year-old landmark back to life. When asked the secret of how he revit

The food is really food at McCormick. Although we attended for an event, and the meals were predetermined, it was nice to see the different options for the entree. I can't speak personally of each entree, but the guests at my table had high remarks for the chicken, Salmon and vegetarian option. I opted for a filet mignon, medium. The steak was cooked just as ordered, and was tender and had that nice grilled flavor. The staff was extremely attentive and kept the bread and drinks refilled.

We decided to try a new restaurant near O’Hare airport and found an amazing place to dine. It’s always a good sign when you get a welcome from the valet. Doors were opened, we were announced and greeted by the host, followed by a quick seating at a booth. Not much of a view, but the floor to ceiling windows add wonderful light to a classic dark wood and glass decor. White linen table cloths are always a nice touch. Our server Jenna, couldn’t have been more accommodating, friendly and professional. We loved the simple, but well designed menu specializing in seafood, crab, lobster and top steaks. My husband and I shared a huge Mediterranean Sea bass after tasting the lobster bisque and the clam chowder soups. We were not very hungry so we didn’t try any of the starters or sides, however we did manage to squeeze in a desert of a baked Alaska....amazingly good. Dishes are pricey, but in keeping with a high end steak/seafood restaurant. Having said that, dishes are huge and can be shared. The bar had a piano player/singer which added to the ambiance. We are big fans of this place and are sure to return.

Held my parents 50th anniversary party here. Vito is easy to work with and very accommodating. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The food is wonderful, we had family style and everything was great. (Their buffet in the restaurant is also good if you are in the area). Prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a banquet hall in the area for any size group!

Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi

Reviewed By Dave G

I've traveled a lot and anyone who travels gets familiar with O-Hare. When Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi first opened I was very happy to get great Sushi while on long layovers and I frequented the place. Great food and good wine at high prices but at least good stuff. This became one of my favorites. So it was a real disappointment when my wife and I had a recent layover and went here expecting good things. The middle aged woman who "served" us acted as if we were a burden. We had to literally go looking for her when we wanted service and it wasn't like she was busy with customers. I could see her just talking with coworkers. And she knew she wasn't paying any attention to us because she refused eye contact when we tried to engage her. The food was and always has been very good. But now it is overpriced even by restaurant standards in airports. But the real kick was the drink pricing. If you can even figure it out because they only post wine prices. The surprise comes with the bill. I get that airports always gouge on drinks but Wicker Park has taken this to a new level I am calling an outright rip off. We paid $19 for a little tiny vodka gimlet that, I swear, didn't have 3 ounces of liquid in the glass. When we asked if that was an accurate charge the waitress didn't bother to check. She just said everyone complains, shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Wine is now $15 for a measly 6 oz. pour. Where does this end? Enough is enough. We're done. No more Wicker and no more frequenting any of these airport rip offs. We'll be packing a lunch and little drink bottles from now on. To be fair the food here is very good so those who prepare it are not a part of the problem. This is a Management/owner issue. Greed kills all enterprises my friends. To you owners I say, shame on you. And to the server who obviously does not like her job I say, please find other work and let someone who enjoys this work do the job.
