Fat Tuesday's is a casual, friendly place with good service and good food. I enjoyed the gumbo and shrimp poboy I had there and will definitely return.

The restaurant sits on the edge of the reservoir and provides stunning views and a great location to relax with friends. The selection of fresh sea food available and the knowledge of the wait staff is amazing and the cocktails and drinks available make this place well worth a visit while visiting the Jackson area. The live music was great and really made the place feel alive.

Food was cold and waitress had a bit of an attitude. Flies all around the tables. Looked like they cater more to the folks in the bar area. Place has really gone downhill. Spoke to manager, he spoke with waitress which she disliked. No longer offer a salad bar. A few months ago waited for 20 minutes and no waitress. Walked out then. Will not be returning.

I stopped n Labor Day at the outside bar. It was very nice views of the reservoir and had a tropical like atmosphere. Lots of friendly people and servers. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend the outside bar because of the atmosphere!Hi, Norman! We really appreciate these compliments. Thank you for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed our view, atmosphere, service, and food! Thank you, also, for recommending our tiki bar. We have recently enclosed it with a clear, vinyl, heated tent, making it comfortable for year-round use! We hope to see you back at Shaggy's very soon!

Another great hidden gem in Jackson. Went about 630 PM and was seated immediately. The staff on the floor are very young, but very well trained and professional. Most, if not all were younger then 25 years old and many were barely past 20. Great job.I started with a dozen oysters. They were delish. They look like they were shocked maybe an hour beforehand, but that is OK since this is a crab house and not an oyster bar. They were delish. Awesome cocktail sauce. Could've used a little more horseradish on they side, but all I needed to do was ask.For entre I had snow crab boil for one (you can get the boils for two). They have several varieties of crab for there boils, along with shrimp.As the Snow Crab goes, this was probably the freshest I've had in a long time. I've been to places where you try to break the shell and it bends like rubber because it's old. Not here! You bend the shell and hear a nice clean SNAP. Also, then here when you pull the meat out, it comes out of the shell clean, in chunks. Old crab doesn't do that. Nice fresh crab here at very very reasonable prices.Also, their boils come with 3 red potatoes cut in half, a piece of cob corn and piece of andouillie sausage. Also, great cold local beer to wash it all down with. I had the Pecan Porter.This is a small thing, but they had a limited dessert selection. I know it is hard to sell desserts at this time. But, wish they had a bread pudding as a house speciality to finish the meal with. I did had a slice if cheesecake, but not house made, which is OK since this is a crab shack and not a typical full service restaurant. I'm from Rhode Island and they are known for their clam shacks, so I get it.Overall...Great Crab + Great Service + Cold Beer = WINNERSorry no pic of the crab boil, once I started I couldn't stop. It's that good

Great food, great service, great experience I had the shrimp and tomato app, and Steak with mushrooms . The app was unbelievable, can't wait to go back! Visited for some drinks and appetizers after work, they had a great atmosphere and drink selection. Wasn't the easiest to find, no signs around showing you had to go upstairs for them. Service and food were just average at best, as we went long times in between them visiting the table. For the experience and the food felt it is very overpriced. Might give it another try but wouldn't rush back.Ted, thank you for your review. We regret to hear you were not fully satisfied with your visit. Our staff errs on the side of restraint to allow guests to enjoy conversation without feeling rushed. My niece and I drove into town from Georgia late one Tuesday evening and were treated just as well as the customer who showed up when the doors first opened that day. We both ordered the catfish whichis always served with coleslaw, fries, pickled onions and buttery, homemade cornbread. Man oh man! We also ordered a small pot of collard greens to go with our meal. Good eats all around! I am never disappointed when I visit. You wont be either! Oh! Don't be put off by the tin plates and tin cups. It just adds to the aura of this southern eatery.

We really like eating at Drago's in Jackson. The charbroiled oysters are delicious. A lot of good choices on the menu. I had the redfish with crabmeat which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Cobb salad. We had bread pudding for dessert. Good food at reasonable prices
