Sympathique établissement, accueil et service chaleureux, cadre agréable et très bonne cuisine, poisson du jours pour le repas du midi. Ãpicerie vendant des produits de Groix...nous nous reverrons avec plaisir !

We ate on the terrace in front of the café overlooking the newly constructed area around the port. Great views overlooking Port St Louis. Very un -commercialised. Local people frequented which is always a good sign.They had varied menu obviously leaning towards fish. However they had no mussels even though they were advertised. We were there at 12 and no one else was dining so that was a bit of a surprise.two of us chose the menu de midi which at around 12 euros for 2 courses was good value.The charcuterie platter starter was to die for. I can't say how much we enjoyed it. The men had the faux filet steak and said it was really good. I had hake and rice and it was really tasty and well cooked. Great location with lovely walks around the coast for a preamble or post lunch stroll. You can catch the short ferry to Port Louis from just in front of the café.I would return for lunch and would liked to have gone to some of the celtic musical events and dined with live music too.A nice informal little tucked away place that was introduced to us by friends. We need to go back when moules re-appear !

Restaurant appeared to be frequented by locals, which is always a good sign. Whilst I am not a great seafood fan, there was a small selection of non seafood fare. Two of our party opted for scallops, with a sauce over the scallops, served with a good selection of vegetables (sweet potato, fried onions and tomatoes) - described as the best they'd ever tasted - good coming from seafood veterans!My salad was absolutely fine, with entertainment laid on by my husband who enjoyed a huge plate of seafood- the 'fruites de mer' - crabs, shrimps, langoustines, oysters, clams, cockle types and others...well worth it at 39 euros for the quality of the meal.

Recommended by our hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Both of us opted for the LâAmiril (1/2 a crab and Langoustines). Our servers were very helpful and kindly educated us in the best technique of extracting the crab flesh using mallet, knife and pick.Wonderfully fresh, helpful attentive service, and good value for money, we would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Oh, and make sure you reserve a table in advance at the weekend.

Le Vivier is a classy restaurant, with a down-to-earth yet impeccable service. The food is very fresh and tasty from appetisers to deserts (quite rich and buttery, so not recommended if you are on a diet...). The restaurant is located on the shore with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Will definitely come back! Thank you very much for your contributionYves Guéguen

We found this restaurant having visited Larmor Plage beach in Brittany. Very friendly staff, carefully decorated room and a pleasant terrace. My son had pizza reine which was generously topped with proper jambon sec and had a lovely crunchy edged base.My husband and I had the special of the day, white fish, (merlu), steamed to perfection and served with a delicate turmeric flavoured sauce, pilaff rice and a courgette and mushroom combo. Delicious. I had café gourmand to follow with three little taster portions of puds plus a small black coffee. Hubby just had coffee and my son ordered a dame blanche ice cream dessert which was too big for him to finish so we had to help him out, sadly... A glass of smooth red wine, a kir breton and a cola completed the meal and the bill was a very reasonable 58â¬
