Pottstown is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States about 40 miles (55 km) northwest of Philadelphia and 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Reading, on the Schuylkill River. Pottstown was laid out in 1752–53 and named Pottsgrove in honor of its founder, John Potts. The old name was abandoned at the time of the incorporation as a borough in 1815. In 1888, the limits of the borough were considerably extended. Pottstown is the center of a productive farming and dairying region.

My wife and I went here for lunch a few months ago when they first opened. It used to be Cassidys. The 1st time we went was great. Service and food was excellent. The next time we went was last week for TRIVIA. We ordered a cheesesteak and fries . OMG great! Trivia sucked. The people in the other room used cell phones to win. The MC caught them once and let it go. Needless to say all the winners were in the other room. Won't do that again. Yesterday we decided to go to lunch for a cheese steak. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Service was terrible and the cheesesteak was the worst one either of us ever had. The onions were fried and dark brown and sour. We tried to take them off but the meat was nasty also. We told the server and all she said was SORRY. Oh yeah, we wanted coffee and they were out of coffee. HOW DOES A BAR/RESTAURANT run out of coffee????? We are not going here again! The manager did not even come over to our table. They don't need our business. From now on we will go to TIM's Ugly Mugs for food and drink.

Went on a Thursday night, thinking we could have a somewhat quiet, relaxing dinner (rather than on the weekend when you would expect it to be crowded, busier and noisier). Unfortunately, we learned that Thursday night was some type of promotional night for kids when this particular restaurant had brought in magicians. It appears that the magicians traveled around to the tables where kids were seated, and needless to say the possibility of having a simple conversation during dinner with all of the ruckus in the background was out of the question. We asked to be moved to a different area of the restaurant which helped only slightly.I guess itâs time to cross this place off of our list. A suggestion to management â if you are going to schedule an event like this which will negatively impact the experience of some of your customers, why not seat all of the parties with children on one side/area of the restaurant to minimize the disruption to your adult customers without children?

I started eating at this Pub in the 1970's, going often when my craving for a roast beef sandwich, carved from a huge roast on the bar, could not be silenced. Topped with horseradish on a hearty roll, it is a delicious treat. Deep-fried mushrooms were another requisite. I moved away from Pottstown in 1980, but come home a few times a year to visit family, and a stop at Ye Olde Coventry Pub is something I try to do every visit home. I am never disappointed - the atmosphere remains cozy and friendly, Linda is still serving (for over 30 years now!), Bill is still bartending (same length of time), and the roast beef sandwiches are still the best around. This all makes me very happy, and I heartily recommend this Pub!

If you are looking for ambiance, Don't go. But if you are looking for great pizza, wonderful mussels and fantastic onion soup this is the place. Their sandwiches are good too. They also have a good beer selection, both on tap and in bottles. Just a nice comfortable place with good food. No frills. Pizza and sandwiches all the time and then wonderful specials

I'm a road warrior, out M-F every week. I stay away from chains and fast food, instead looking for places like this. Who doesn't like a good, fresh, warm, tender, fresh-carved roast beef sandwich? Or a ham (use same adjectives as beef!)? Nothing fancy here, just good food and friendly service. Looking forward to my next visit. If Coventry would like, I could get some Kummelweck buns next time I'm in Buffalo!

I have heard so many good things about this spot we had to meet friends for dinner here. The menu is vast with lots of choices accented with specials for the evening. I chose ricotta stuffed ravioli. It was served with a perfect fresh side salad. My entree was homemade perfection. Stickman is their brew. The waitstaff was fabulous! We will return!

Nice September evening on the porch at Ron's. Great Zep! Great appetizers! Great Service! Nicely decorated porch. TV's for sports fans. Not just bar food. Good entrees as well. Affordable prices! Try it you will like it. Great back road country location. You would never expect to find a place like this in such a nice farm land like setting.

My nephew-in-law brought us here for an afternoon of drinks and apps. They sure are in an isolated location, as it felt we were in the middle of a forest with greenery and trees everywhere. ATMOSPHERE:Regardless of the raging heatwave, we sat outside under an umbrella-covered table. Some utilized picnic tables and blankets under trees. Communal picnic tables were available on the covered lanai, or indoors in cool a/c. Frisbee golf was available but no one was playing. MENU:Daily combo specials, bar-style apps, pizza, wings, sandwiches, salads. BEVERAGE:SRT Ale - $3.50Man, the last time I paid this little for beer was ages ago!? I donât think it was happy hour either. This brew was slightly hoppy with just a slight bitterness. Helles Golden Lager - $3.50Smooth as a babyâs behind! A bit like Maui Brewing Companyâs Bikini Blonde but minus the nuttiness. FOOD:Brick Oven Wings - $12.50, 10 pc. We ordered the Honey Sriracha which was too hot for me, about an 8 on a 10-heat scale), and plain (no sauce, with side of ranch) which I loved. Their wings are baked, not fried, and still had a nice crunch to the skins. Italian Grinder Pizza - $11.00This chewy thin crust, homemade pie included salami, pepperoni, ham, lettuce, tomato, oregano, and onions (which we axed). The tomatoes and lettuce were sprinkled on after the pizza was baked which kept them fresh and juicy. SERVICE:Order inside, open a tab, carry your drink out, and your food is delivered to you via a table number sign. No wait staff is available, only bussers. Counter staff were friendly and moved the line quickly. TIP:They also sell their beers to-go in their infamous wide-mouth can where the entire top comes off. OVERALL:Affordable craft beer, good food. A five star rating could be had if table service were available.
