Our Granddaughter loves Shakeys Pizza. So it was fitting that she chose it for her 7th birthday party. We called ahead to make a reservation and were told it was first come, first served. No reservations. We contemplated going somewhere else, but her dear heart was set on Shakeys. She loves the games and prizes which I won't even begin to go on about that rip off scam so anyways. We arrive and the place is it's usual madhouse. Here is the best part; you aren't 'allowed' to make reservations, however you can (once you arrive) reserve every single table in the entire restaurant! That is right!! Someone came ahead of time and decorated every single booth and table and wrote reserved on all of them. And get this; the whole entire other half of the restaurant was blocked off for a private party! Huh? But no reservations people!? We ended up staying and waiting out a table and we were not alone when it came to doing that. A lot of other hangry customers were lurking and waiting to pounce on the first available table. And last but certainly not least; the food. We ordered the largest family pack you could buy. The total amount was over 75.00 and we got 2 pizzas, frozen chicken strips served cold and hard mojos that were overcooked and hard as rocks. We ordered 2 salad bar plates and that was just a nightmare! One tiny cart for 100's of patrons does not make a good salad bar experience. Sorry Shakeys, but this customer is unhappy and most likely will never return. Unless one of the Grandkids decides that we have to and still I will put up a fight. I gave 3 stars because the girl at the prize counter that day was very sweet and patient with all of our littles.

I don't know about you but I always prefer a locally owned, independent establishment over the big chain places. You get to meet local folks and the food is not so "formatted" the way it is in the large chains. After a long day of working away from home I stopped at The Flamingo for a cocktail; an interesting, cool place (see separate review). I wanted something reasonably priced and close. The bartender recommended I go next door to Jersey's. What a great recommendation it was.A local pizza joint it is nothing fancy but the staff was attentive, the prices fair and the food excellent. I had the Chicken Pesto Pizza and it was out of this world. It wasn't on the menu but the local guy I was sitting next to at the bar recommended it. Jersey's is a definite stop every time I am in Redlands.

This restaurant excels at the small plates! The meats, cheeses are breads are curated to create interesting, unique combinations. The pizzas are decent, not outstanding, and considering the $16-18 prices, I would recommend getting 3-4 meat and cheese samplers for a more unique experience. The service was good and our waitress was friendly and helpful!

My friend and I eat at Bricks and Birch about once a month but the last few times we were there the temerature outside was in the 90's, as it is in Redlands during summer, and the doors were open, flies all over and fans on. When asked about the AC, I was told "it wasn't working." That excuse works for awhile but 3 months later, it's still being used so I'm suspecting they may not have AC. The restaurant is in an old building which was renovated to accommodate it but maybe it was too expensive to add AC. We went to another place to escape the heat and flies. I do not recommend it until it's appropriately cool inside. The food is good but the scones are best when the co-owner/wife makes them, otherwise they're just ordinary. I do hope the temperature issue is quickly resolved so we can return.

My first time with my friends at this place. We were there for a 13 year olds Birthday. We went upstairs and the atmosphere in the place is really neat with old pictures on the walls etc. Our waiter was just outstanding and the food was very good!! What a nice night we had!! Would love to go again if I was ever in the area.

Ordered thin crust white pizza with tons of pepperoni, sausage, bacon,black olives,etc. You can have as many meat or vegetable toppings that you want. They now offer a thicker crust, but I preferred the thin. The pizza is ready in a matter of minutes. You also can order off their menu. Pizza is very inexpensive-$8.49 and med size drinks are $2.19. They now offer some craft beers and wine. It is located in historic downtown Redlands.

This stop is always a must when in town for business. Everyone can order their own pizzas of various sizes and get the toppings of their liking. The restaurant also has amazing salads and Italian dishes/sandwiches. Someone in our party almost always orders the "Mini Pearl" pizza. It is a down home hearty option. I order the pepperoni selection and have never been disappointed.
