This hotel and Restaurant are fairly close to our hotel, making the walk both ways reasonable. We ate here twice in our week visit. The restaurant is both on the roof terrace where a fire pit can be lit making it feel like a camp site and the inside which is an elegant restaurant. The menu is quite varied and we really enjoyed our meals there. Service was excellent, especially since the food is prepared on a lower level and is brought up to the dining room. On our first visit we shared a cauliflower soup which was nicely seasoned, mostly pureed but with visible bits of the vegetable also. Vern had the saffron chicken dinner and I chose the pottery kebab with lamb. My first pottery dinner. I liken it to a mini tagine. This restaurant covers with aluminum foil. All the food was terrific. The all glass wall provides great views over town while memorable music is played. On our second visit Vern had the lamb chops and I chose the lamb shank. As I picked it up the meat fell away to the plate. Most excellent. We had a rice pudding dessert as well and loved it. Saziyer Restaurant is my favourite go to place when visiting Cappadocia. The owner and staff are exceptional. The food is so delicious that if my stomach can speak you would hear it sing . No words can describe how I feel right now. The flavours just melt in your mouth. If I could rate this restaurant 100 satisfaction I definitely would Thank you for everything. A very authentic Family-operated restaurant. Try their pot kebab especially the lamb one. Very recommended. The grandpa in the restaurant will make you feel warm and welcoming. A must visit in Goreme. They even serve us free teas. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful terrace, friendly service and well cooked food. The atmosphere is relaxed, perfect after a day spent walking under the sun. The food is very tasty, delicious, in particular lamb tandoori, ravioli with potatoes and potatoes köfte.We liked so much that we came twice in four days!

We read the review in Lonely Planet and were very keen to try this place. We were turned away the first time as we did not have a reservation. They did not even bother to ask if we wanted a reservation another time. We noticed that they are small (hence always full), highly rated and hence have that air of superiority. In any case we called and made a reservation the following day. The staff seated us and served us in a timely manner. The kebab pot was good and tasty. The tomatoes-chick peas-beef dish was tasteless and lacked the tomatoes and had very little beef. That was disappointing. We ordered a nice, expensive bottle of wine and were promised a 2012 vintage. However they brought out a 2017 vintage and it was fine. In the dark interior I read it as 2012, but when we took the remainder to our hotel room realized that it was 2017. I would overall rate the food and service as average, the attitude of the staff as businesslike and the interior as tasteful and well decorated with local furnishings.

We just went to this place to have a bottle of wine the manager or the guy in charge of the place was there and was very friendly he offered a free taste of 3 wines so we could choose and the local wines were amazing! Very nice place very nice music so home-like place and good prices. Thank you!

We went there few times and everytime we visited the service was amazing. Our last night in cappadicia we decided to visit there. The hooka/ sheesha was amazing, the tapas we ordered was gorgeous and to top it all, seten restaurant dropped us off back to our hotel which was 10 minutes away. What a fantastic service. Food was really really good. The Anatolian special stews were the best we had while in Göreme. We had the veal with spinach stew & lamb stew. Its the only restaurant that we went to in Cappadocia who gave us complimentary meze & Turkish tea.The breads was oven fresh, warm & tasty.Service was prompt & friendly.Good price, good food, good service.

A group of 4 friends went to this restaurant TWICE in 2 days. The quality and taste of the food was excellent, the price was incredibly low. The staff and service was superb. Ask if the owner is there, he will guide you through the menu and he is very personable. We throughly enjoyed are meals there.
