Based on the reviews, it seems our experience wasn't a fluke. They really need to up their game on service or they'll have this giant restaurant for take-out only. Every aspect of it was slow...first table visit, getting drinks, taking order, & finally it took 45 minutes to get our food. Yep, you read that right. 45 minutes at a Mexican restaurant, where the norm is less than 10 at others. We were always looking around, but the managers seemed disengaged. Food was decent, but nothing special. Doesn't sound like its worth it to give them a second chance, which we normally do.

Went for Dinner on Saturday,and the parking lot was close to empty,should have taken that as a first bad sign and walked away,But since I wanted to try something new went in anywayThe server was horrible,Unattentive ,couldn't even explain what a menu item consists of. But i would give this case a pass,since every waiter has their own story and may be she was having a bad day at workFood- We ordered an Appetizer which was a chicken quesadilla,The chicken in it did not taste even taco bell goodMain course,I ordered a chicken dish which was supposed to be grilled and spicy,It indeed was spicy but the chicken was not grilled,they just served in some white chicken ribbed over a hot sauce,My wife got a combo platter consisting of Chicken enchilada,chicken chimichanga and some other thing,again the same chicken without a taste was wrapped and put in two different shapes(One was supposed to be a chimichanga and the other a enchilada)So,Couldn't take any more chances,walked out without ordering a desertIf you crave so much mexican hit up Chipotle or even tijuana flats which are close by,Stay away from this horrible waste of time money and appetite

I have eaten quite a bit of Mexican food across the United States, and one commonality that is typically shared with all Mexican restaurants is fast, friendly service. Unfortunately, Taxco did not fit that mold. We were seated promptly, but the service from that point was subpar. The food took quite a while to come out. When it finally came, I really enjoyed it. I had the mole poblano with chicken. My wife had the chicken quesadilla which came with rice and beans (as mine did). She did not find the quesadilla to be anything special, but it was good enough. I would probably return for the mole alone, but Iâm not going at a peak time.

We recently enjoyed three different sandwiches for dinner here: a quesadilla, a Crunchy Gringo, and a hot ham and cheese. We shared an order of chips and salsa as an appetizer. All were very good, made to order food. If you are looking for a fancy place, this is not it. You order st the counter, pay, and your food is delivered to you. You procure your own alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage. If you are looking for a good, hot sandwich, youâll be happy here. Prices are in line with other local establishments. Owners are friendly and generally onsite. Weâve enjoyed repeated meals here.

This is a very good mexican tavern/restaurant. It might not look very inviting from the outside, but it seems to be a favorite among the local and airline crews. Service is friendly and fast, but most importantly it is really value for money. Food is good with relatively large portions. It is very authentic home cooking type of food. For me this ia a hidden gem for good rustic Mexican food for a very good price.

I visited this restaurant for Cinco de Mayo, and was totally disappointed. First of all, the floor was filthy, and I decided it was probably because they were super busy. However, the food was awful!!!! We ordered nachos to start and they looked like something had exploded with lettuce when presented to us. The chips were on the bottom then the meat then huge slices of tomato and drowned in lettuce. It has to be one of the worst dishes I have ever seen, and they tasted worse. My friend ordered the Shrimp Diablo, and it was so spicy she couldn't eat it (and she likes spicy food). I ordered the Carnitas and they were tasteless. Overall it was one of the worst meals I have ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Waste of money!
