This place used to be great! New and inexperienced management seems to be a problem for them. Better to go somewhere where the food is fresh and ingredients are fresh.

After moving here from San Diego California four years ago, good Mexican food is hard to find in Florida especially Central Florida.I'm used to Little Road stands that have burritos that are open all day and all night. With abuela in the back and making tortillas for the tacos and the grill on the side smoking the place up.Today I found just that. A little food truck trailer on the side of the road with some picnic tables and awnings to cover it for shade. Not much to look at but I can smell it as we pulled in to the makeshift parking lot.We ordered two carne asada burritos with pico de gallo and guacamole and onions and carne asada tacos.I haven't tasted really true good carne asada since I've been here for the four years that we've lived here. But today took me back.Tender grilled beef with that grilled taste, crispy white onions, guacamole, and pico de gallo and my favorite, verde salsa! If you need white tablecloths and singing waiters this is not your joint. This a little roadside food stand that serves it up and serves it up well.

Wife ordered the Double Chaupla. Really looked great on the photo on the wall. Looked great on internet add. (SCREENSHOT ATTACHED)As with most advertising what you see is not what you get. Second photo is what it really was. Nice pile of meat shown in ad was not there. Lettuce and filings did not make it to the top of the shell. Meat was maybe a 1/4 inch layer. Not for sure how we got the right angle in the shell. I ordered the regular Chicken. Likewise very little chicken. More salad fixings than anything. We both are fans of Taco Bell. It is a favorite of ours but more and more this is what we see happening. Lunch was 9.59. Think we will start looking else where. Pizza buffet at 4.99 just down the street.

Looking for a good local Mexican restaurant we can rely on, so we decided to give this unassuming place a shot. We were greeted at the door by the manager, an engaging young man who walked us through the entire menu, outlining favorite dishes, sauces, etc. We stayed to enjoy dinner. We shared a meal of four enchiladas (one each of barbacoa, carnitas, chicken and cheese) smothered in a wonderful mole sauce. The meal came with rice, beans, pico and guacamole. We both loved the food!We also had the sweetest waitress ever! She was so helpful, and concerned that we enjoyed our meal. Following our meal, she was chatting with us. She asked if we had tried their flavored waters (we hadn't, as it was our first time AND we didn't know they had them available). She insisted we try a sample. She came back with a sample for each of us of EVERY VARIETY (7 or 8 total). These were so flavorful! She also told us (for future reference) that for dine-in customers, flavored water refills are free.We will definitely be back for more!!

La Fiesta Mexicana

Reviewed By Cyreese

Many Mexican restaurants advertise that they feature "authentic mexican cuisine"; La Fiesta Mexicana is one of those restaurants, BUT, it REALLY does deliver the goods - and not only that, it exceeds expectations in the important categories: taste of the food, food portions, service, ambiance, parking convenience, and bathroom cleanliness. On top of the superlative grades, I add that the prices for entrees, appetizers and desserts are very reasonable; indeed, you will walk out very satisfied with your dining experience even if you had paid much more. The menu features most of what you expect to find: tacos, enchiladas, burritos, carnitas, skirt steaks, fajitas, refried beans, guacamole and salads, Seafood offerings feature tilapia dinners and several shrimp dishes. The shrimp cocktail is humongous: huge cup includes a dozen shrimps! The pork carnitas are the best I've had anywhere. When ordering dessert, you might consider sharing; for example, a sopapilla covers an entire dinner plate and is smothered in cream; the smallest dessert is an excellent home-made vanilla flan. Handicapped patrons on wheelchairs should have no difficulty navigating the wide aisles. The dining room is fairly large - I guess it accomodates about 120 diners. The walls are decorated with colorful paintings of scenes you might see in a Mexican town or countryside. I counted seven big-screen TV monitors. As you enter, there is an inviting bar. Good margaritas, bottled and on-tap beers. Mariachis play on certain days. This place is owner operated and his pride in his resturant shows. La Fiesta Mexicana beats any chain Mexican restaurant out there.
