Me encanto la comida! I went there quite few times and have almost never been disappointed! Their food is always perfectly cooked and although not all of it is completely authentic, some foods are under spiced, and the salsa is a little too sweet for my preference, I would say its one of my favorite real Mexican resturants. It has an amazing friendly staff always at your beck and call, the food comes out within 10 to 13 minutes when ordering even on busy nights and their chicken chalupas and sopapillas are FREAKIN AMAZING!!!!! Not to mention its UNBELIEVABLEY cheap!! I mean 2.50 for 4 big cinnamon rolled sopapillas covered in honey and whipped cream?! TO DIE FOR. dios mio me mata que bueno la comida es!

The Mrs. and I tried this place on the advice of family members. We weren't disappointed, but I was let on that it would be much better than it actually was. That saying, it is a good Mexican restaurant, authentic as any in the area and nicely priced to where you don't blow a budget to smithereens. But, (yep, here come the buts) our meal came out mere minutes after ordering, I'd say around 5-6 minutes. We weren't able to finish a helping of chips and salsa before our platters showed up. To some, that might appear to be a wonderful thing, but to true Mexican food lovers, that means our dinner platters were likely under a warming tray and popped into a hot oven when our order came up. Even if that were the case, the food had nice taste and texture and was sizzling hot as it should be. Nothing special, but nothing we found that was unacceptable in the least. Perhaps that is how they keep their prices reasonable, I don't know. I would recommend this restaurant for a change of pace, and will likely visit again in the future, even though it is a little outside of our neighborhood. The service was quick and efficient, too. You shouldn't be upset if you decide to visit. I wasn't.

Habaneros has not been open that long but is already a very popular place in town for great Mexican foods.Hardest part is making a selection from the extensive menu. Our server was comfortably attentive. Our food was plentiful and wonderful. But the absolute best part was the salsa. Our server gave us some chips and a small container of salsa to bring home. Next time I’ll see if we can buy a gallon.

There is something happening in the management of this location that is slowly affecting the service and food quality. Me and the Mrs. and other family members who join us on Taco Loco Tuesdays at this restaurant have noticed it as well. We have even discussed this with other patrons of the restaurant while dining there and it the conclusion is that something is quite wrong. On this 'Taco Tuesday' trip we arrived about 15 minutes ahead of our guests who were joining us, so we only ordered water to drink with our chips & salsa until they arrived. It took an unusually long time for that to arrive, but didn't think much of it at the time. When the rest of our small group arrived, it was nearly 15 minutes before our waitress stopped by to take our orders and that was only after grabbing the young man who was bussing the tables near us who informed her for us jokingly that we were "starving out here." She soon made her rounds and took our orders, but we were literally pushing 30 minutes before our orders arrived. We went through two complete helpings of chips & salsa by that time. Our orders were correct (unlike our previous visit, more on that later), but the usually fantastic street tacos were not quite up-to-par. They were still piled high with filling, but were not as flavorful as we have grown accustomed to. Some at our table mentioned that even the chips & salsa weren't their normally tasty best, although I didn't notice, but I don't eat much of the salsa, either. The overall experience was like night and day compared to most of our past visits. On the previous visit to this one, we had a heck of a time getting our orders straightened out from what we thought was a newly hired waiter, but we later found out he had been working there for "quite awhile." The manager ended up getting involved and our orders were given to the waitress who usually took our orders on Tuesday nights (she was noticeably absent from this latest visit, too). For some reason, this Speedy's seems to be unable to keep talented and efficient waitresses. We have had three since last summer who we found to be exceptionally awesome, so awesome in fact that we asked for them by name when we arrived each Tuesday night. Each of them, one-by-one inexplicably disappeared from the wait staff on later visits. We inquired as to why there were no longer around, but didn't get an explanation or we got one that seemed bogus to us. Anyway, all patrons should be aware that something seems to be amiss. We hope that it's not a permanent thing and that they can get things smoothed out, or we will be looking for another place to have our weekly dine-out.

We went on Saturday evening. They always have a live band in Saturdays. Service was great! We got guacamole made at the table and it was excellent. We all enjoyed our food- the puffy tacos were excellent. The server did a good job on refills of drinks and chips/ salsa. Enjoyable atmosphere!

This is a great little place located on Aspen at 81st Street in Broken Arrow. Friendly service and food is very fresh and delicious. Great prices! Portions are large. We split the Mar y Tierra (grilled chicken/shrimp, veggies rice, guacamole and tortillas.) Big enough to split for sure. $12.25. Wonderful choices/specialties and A La Carte menu. Should be something to please everyone. Fun festive atmosphere - not your typical "chain" type place. Very charming with local feel. Phone 918-251-4175

Stopped in after seeing a movie at the great Warren Theater. We had come for Margaritas and munchies. The restaurant inside is pleasant and festive. A patio for outdoor dining is also available. Our server Ramiro was helpful and always there to see if we needed anything. We had a pitcher of the frozen stuff which was very good. We also had some tasty Queso and Guacamole. My only druthers were the chips. They were the thick variety which I think are not as good as the thinner chips.

El Tequila

Reviewed By CatchersMom

I have always made El Tequila my go to Mexican Restaurant when I'm in Tulsa. Not any more. I was in Tulsa on business, and drove a distance to east here. Dining by myself, i soon realized the young host didn't respect a single female. I was 4th on the list, but after 6 tables had been called, I asked how much longer. He looked, then looked around and said I'd be next. I looked where he had been looking, and see a small table stick back in a corner between the restaurant and bar behind a column. I asked about a different table with no response. Poor service, but what do you expect behind a column, except that once he was waiting on me, he knew I was there. Food was not near as good as it used to be. I ordered an enchilada and tamale. Took one bite of the tamale, and had a mouth full of pure fat. Between the response or lack thereof, plus the ho hum food, I will be finding a new Mexican restaurant in Tulsa. Single businesswomen are customers, too.
