We had just come off the NJ Turnpike and wanted a quick snack. We arrived in this strip mall and there it was: Taco Bell. We hadn't had Taco Bell in years, but this restaurant looked new. The staff greeted us nicely and we placed our order. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The dining room looked nice, but we took our order to go. Knowing that it is here we may stop when passing through town.

If you are in the mood for authentic Guatemalan cuisine then I highly recommend this quaint family owned restaurant. I was very pleased with the friendly service, the food quality and the taste and ambiance. I ordered Pepian and Chiles Rellenos and was impressed! Just like back home when my abuela used to make them!

I've never experience such an incompetent bunch of apathetic staff working in one place than I did today at this Qdobe. At 3 hours until close, they ran out of rice, yet tried to push their customers into still ordering their food without it, yet not compensating with other ingredients to make up for it. I asked how they could run out of rice, and the girl taking my order gave me a confused look and said "I don't know." Someone came from the back and said the rice will be replaced in 10 minutes.10 minutes later, they say it'll be 15 more minutes... 15 minutes later they say 20 more minutes... and even after people poured in and were waiting they just continued their nonchalant attitude. I asked why they keep pushing off the rice, and I get another confused look and a head shake. RICE DOESN'T TAKE THAT LONG!!!The manager of that store should be embarrassed. Save your money and go to Five Guys across the mall complex...

This establishment has stood the test of time. Having been open for decades they still pack the place every weekend. Expect to wait on the weekend, but the bar area is great waiting place. An extensive beer and tequila list with their full bar. Friendly bartenders and almost always a great crowd. The bar area is interestingly decorated. Take the time to notice all of the period and quirky pieces. Once you get to your table the place is decorated in a great Tex Mex atmosphere. We have visited several times over the years with different friends and family. I have never heard a bad word about anything anyone has ever ordered. On this particular visit I enjoyed the baby back ribs. Cooked to perfection on this visit in my opinion. We shared and enjoyed some beers from the list both at the bar and our table. A small parking lot behind the restaurant, but usually ample street parking. We will surely be back.

El Aquila Dorada

After numerous delays; patience and finally, grand fanfare, the new location had opened on the sire of a former Sports Bar (The Big Apple). Total and complete make-over, open area for dining; sit-down bar, open-door kitchen with a view. Can get on the crowded side at times; and tables can be close together. Food can be great; can be spicy, can be overcooked. Slightly higher priced than the uptown location. Not fully prepared to situate large parties with set reservations; patrons can be seated at odd angled tables, instead of in a group. On cold days, a goodly gust of wind breaks into the front door, some tables facing the chill (Big Apple had an enclosed foyer). Wish the owner luck, but needs to reorganize some aspects of the venue. A Second floor would have opened up possible banquet/party space. Sangria is good too.
