Service was very very good. The presentation was immaculate the food was scrumptious. For my husband who is the best chef I know to say that the sauce and even better than his is quite a statement. Worth coming to just for the dinner. But also come for the pastries the ambience and the views.

Beautiful wine and champagne collection! Fabulous fresh breakfast and superb dinner from the Duchess Restaurant. Great special drinks at the bar. Be sure to meet very high standards. Definitely deserves 6 stars.

Returned to Basta after many years. This was a pleasant experience. It is a simple and small cafe featuring Italian cuisine.Had a very tasty steak tartare with arugula and figs. My husband enjoyed a most unusual spaghettini with nuts and a light green sauce. It was the nightly pasta special. Not a pesto sauce. The service was good. The open kitchen is wonderful to watch. You will see your meal being prepared with great care.Glad we gave it a second chance.

We decided to stay in the hotel to eat dinner and it was actually quite nice. The restaurant was very full, so they must be doing something right (allaying our concerns that only 2 reviews existed on Trip Advisor). It was a lively place, several groups of 6-7 people, several tables of 2-4 persons, and a few children here and there. It is very cute, nice, and comfortable.My husband and I had pasta dishes that we both great. Son had a pizza with shrimp. We had nice wine and cocktails and very good dessert. The "small" salad was quite large, very fresh and great dressing. Yummy. Nice bread.Considering how expensive everything is in Gstaad, this was a very reasonable meal and it was quite good. I would definitely recommend - unless you want to "live large" and money is no object. I am sure there are other restaurants in town that cater to the more exclusive set.

Excellent family run restaurant, with genuine Italian food.The ambiance is quite nice and the service is very friendly. Running the kitchen is Domenico, with his genuine, yet creative and nicely presented dishes. High quality ingredients, traditional recipes, creativity, and passion for food, make you really feel like in Italy.The amuse-bouches offered by the kitchen are a delicious and allows you to experiment different flavors.Just thanks! Falafels were very good, place is good in the afternoon . We had only 40 minutes for our train and the food was given so fast that we could finish it right in time.preparation of tabouleh was excellent , hummus was little dry but olive oil on the side made it ok , Thank you very much Shivani.
