Norma's Mediterranean Restaurant

Our meals were good. The flavor was very good. Service was a little show considering we were only the second table at the time. The stuffed grape leaves, hummus and Israeli Salad were very good, but my entree had a seasoned chicken breast that was much too dry and required lots of drinking water to go along with it.

This place has gone way way downhill. I remember coming here years ago with my dad and thinking it was great. When I was here a few days ago with my boyfriend, I was legitimately embarrassed I suggested that we try this place. While the service was great throughout our meal, the huge problem was the food:Sausage and broccoli rabe was mediocre - homemade sausage? really? and the broccoli rabe was overcooked in my opinion.Tagliatelle al Limone - outright bad. I know they use fresh pasta, but this was way way overcooked. The lemon was so overpowering, and not in a good way. The whole thing was just too one-note. No complexity...nothing. The prosciutto was poor quality and flavorless - it added nothing. The entree portion size was too small as well. If you're going to offer entree sizes - actually give entree-size portions or step your pasta game up.Pumpkin Tortellini - This was their pasta special that evening. We literally got 12 tiny tortellini for $23 as the entree size. It was a total joke. Basically $2 per tiny and overcooked tortellini? The pumpkin filling was fine, but could have used more flavor. The brown butter sage sauce was nice, but we were just so off-put by how ridiculous the portion size was.We were so bummed out that we decided not to waste any more money on dessert. Save your money and don't come to this place until they get their act together. This was such a disappointment, especially because this restaurant used to be SO MUCH BETTER.

My wife and I and our son and his family--wife and two teenage sons--had lunch at this casual fast food restaurant in the Promanade. The food took 20 minutes to arrive, which is not fast food in my book. My Greek lamb was just a jazzed-up gyro full of feta cheese (which should be disclosed on the menu) and the pita was too doughy and cold. The price for this was $10. The other dishes were similarly euphemistic and expensive. I would not be eager to return.

Wow, so perfect !We dined with friends and had prior reservations. Easy parking behind the building. We were greeted at the door in an elegant yet friendly manner. All waiters looking the part, clean, accessorized, accommodating. Extensive menu allowed all four of us to find exactly what we wanted. Mare Monte is BYOB and they do it in style. We brought our wines, they immediately offered proper glasses and an elegant ice bucket. The service was smooth and prompt. The answer to all requests and questions was "yes we can". But the greatest experience was the food itself. All was top quality, perfectly prepared, nicely presented and very tasty. We enjoyed quite a variety including Caesar and arugula with poached pear salads, veal medallions (arguably the best I have ever had), delicious duck, and our friends praised the quality of their choices. We all had desserts. Limoncello desert with vanilla ice cream was truly delicious. My husband described his tiramisu as possibly the best ever, especially the cream. All desserts except for cannoli are "home made" here. Our server Mikael was excellent. At the end of our evening rushing to attend a concert in Philadelphia we all decided we wanted to be back to Mare Monte again.

Had a lovely Friday night at Nunzios with friends. We were seated right on time in the first part of the restaurant. The ambiance was amazing-seemed like we were in a courtyard in Italy! Lots of decorations and color. We were packed in closely. Luckily our table was more toward a pathway. Waiters and customers farther in had to squeeze their way through.Tasty bruschetta for an appetizer as well as some delicious crispy plain bread (with a weird green butter or something-I wouldVastly prefer an herbed olive oil for dipping) for the table. Waiter quickly filled our water glasses and took extra glasses away. We brought some tasty beers, but a bottle of wine would have fit with the ambiance and the food better. The men had salads-house salad was meh, but Caesar salad delicious.Main meals arrived fairly quickly-really a perfect amount of time to chat. One special of Mediterranean bass stuffed with crabmeat and shrimp was excellent. Slightly changed pasta with sun dried tomatoes and crabmeat-I asked for shrimp instead of crab and it was no problem. This was completely dairy free and absolutely wonderful. The veal shank was a huge hunk of meat and seemed to be delicious. I’m disturbed by the whole tortured baby cow idea of veal though...One appetizer, 2 salads, 4 outstanding meals, with just water to drink since byob, total cost with good tip was $180. Great night out; we will be back!Hi Medfordnjmom;Glad Nunzio’s helped make your evening great. We appreciated you describing the flavors and nuances of the dishes. Kitchen is thrilled you enjoyed the food. Looking forward to having you back soon.

Three couples enjoyed a terrific lunch here yesterday. We brought in two bottles of our own wine, which is how one does it in “dry” Haddonfield. The appetizers were flavorful, especially the combo with hummus, grilled peppers, and olives. Watch out the salads are very generous but delicious. The lamb kabobs were great, as were the “sandwiches “. All food was fresh, and flavorful. Nice decor and situated on a very cute street, centrally located on the towns most picturesque block.
