Discover the best Italy has to offer all year round at the Pizzeria Ristorante Molino in Steinenvorstadt with its culinary delights and Mediterranean wines. Come and relax after a long day of shopping and reward yourself with a light lunch or a cosy candl
I joined my wife and a friend of ours for lunch at this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The indide decirum is just lovely with walls like in an Italian castle wine cellar and tasteful Italian bistro style furnishings. We took the lunch special, cognilio (rabbit) as a ragu with risotto which was beautifully seasoned. I had a glass of the house red amusingly called âMolliantiâ which was a valpollicella and just lovely. Delicious Italian coffee and biscotti to finish and not too expensive price tag.

We were in Basel with my elderly parents and sister for a family reunion. We were staying close to Apulia so it was an easy option for dinner and we ate here twice.Food was amazing. Seafood starter for two was superb, as was the burrata with prosciutto and beef carpaccio. Mains very tasty including beef fillet, veal, pastas and fish of the day which was salt baked sea bream. Deserts also very good!Great selection of Italian wine both red and white. And fantastic service particularly with my elderly mother.I thoroughly recommend this place and have had a fair few decent Italian meals over the years.

Latini is a good choice for an Italian lunch downtown. three dining halls, different main dishes on the daily menue, and a wide variety of Italian food on the regular card. you will for sure find something. my dish from the daily was excellent, but also the mushroom Risotto was very good.Dear r0landbrunner,Thanks. Latini is open every day and is a great place for lunch or dinner. We are known for our pasta and risotto dishes which are prepared with only the freshest and best ingredients available to us. We also like to encourage kids to sample good Italian food so children under the age of 12 may eat from the à la carte for only CHF 15. We hope to see you back again when you are next in Basel.la vita è bella - Adrian & Latini-Team

This was my second visit to The Kitchen as I was so impressed with the first one. The pizzas here are of superior quality and taste and this visit was no exception. I tried the Colosseo 15CHF (Pomodoro, Mozzarella, Aubergine, Zucchini, Cherry Tomaten, Oliven). This stuff is really mouthwatering good food! The staff is always friendly and helpful, the ingredients are fresh and after your pizza is removed from the oven the staff cuts and boxes your piping hot pizza to go. I always head over to the Rheinufer and enjoy the pizza surrounded by the great backdrop of the city architecture. An enjoyable visit every time. Highly recommended!Grazie mille. !

Located in a side street 2-3 minutes walk from the Basel train station. Da Roberto is an insider's tip - we look forward to sseing you soon.
We visited on our first night, wee bit tricky to find. Standard, good quality Italian fare, the little rolls served with the salad (not sure if you get them anyway) were delicious, and the mushroom risotto was excellent. As this was our first night we were still acclimatising to Swiss prices but now can see it is pretty good value.Dear chocsEdinburghA big thank you for your positive feedback on TripAdvisor â your kind words are very much appreciated! The Da Roberto is indeed a hidden gem tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of the main square in front of the train station and we are happy that you found us. It's great to hear that you were thoroughly pleased with your dinner; oh yes, our homemade pizza dough rolls are very popular and you only get this kind of bread in some Italian restaurants. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back on your next visit to beautiful Basel!

Arrived here for a party of 4 business dinner. We selected it to get out of tourist areas and try something local. We were not disappointed. Appetizers for our group consisted of either caprese or mixed salad which looked fresh and tasty and a Special: burrata (excellent). Main dishes were osso buco, veal, pappardelle with shrimp, and a special request for pasta with vegetables. An excellent primitivo helped was it all down. Above average.

The trattoria amore is a classical Italian restaurant. Roman cuisine, home made pasta, white table cloth, great good looking service. We started with a small salad, had Spaghetti Vongole and Tiger Prawns with mediterranean vegetable. All prepared with lots of care and very tasteful. The wine per the glass (Montepulciano) was a wonderful recommendation. If we lived in Basel, then this would be our favourite Italian. Well done!

It's very busy. Apart from having to share a table in order to get a seat we had a fabulous meal here. Chose set maze for 2 with meats @66CHF, it could easily have fed four. All around us people were taking doggie bags home. Service very good, food very good, price on a par for this country, over £100 including wine.Thank you for your evaluation :) There is always a lot going on in Za Zaa Petersgraben, so we recommend to book in advance. But we are very happy you find your table and you enjoyed it so much. We hope, of course, that you will stop by again ;)Greetings from your Za Zaa Team

When we booked we had no idea it was a surprise menu, so I was nonplussed when I asked see the menu. But do not fear! We were given the choice of fish, meat or vegetarian for starters and mains. Our fish starter - a carpaccio of sorts - was delicious and our main of lamb was also scrumptious. We finished with a very fine cheeseboard. We opted for accompanying wine, thinking we would get a glass per course, but were thrilled that the wine was be free-flowing, and also good quality, not all from Italy either. We had excellent service, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly (don't know why another reviewer groused about that - sometimes its down to personalities!) As a new resident to Basel, this restaurant is find. And we will be back!
