Staying at new nearby hotel, within staggering distance. Visited on the back of trip advisors reviews. They’re right - you do get a very good meal. Staff are very helpful and respectful. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Can highly recommend.

Sopporo is very much like Benihana. At the hibachi grill, the food is cooked right in front of you. The food is very good but the experience is what you come for. The chef puts on a show while cooking your food. The food is always cooked well and is always very tasty. If you have someone in your party who is having a birthday, yes, they do have a corny little routine they do. They do it here with much more enthusiasm. The prices are higher than most locations in Rock Springs, so bring a full wallet. Very fun place to have a good dinner or lunch.Yes,you are right Sagebrusher we have hibachi grill here very much like Benihana,as the manager here at Sapporo Rock Springs i used to work in Benihana couples year too.We are so glad that you like us here and hopefully see you again whenever you swing by,we appreciate your business.

Siam King

Restaurant serves very fine Chinese, Thai & Japanese cuisine.

Two stops gave us a chance to sample three items from the Thai section of the lunch menu. On the first visit, we both ordered panang curry with chicken, a favorite of ours in a local Thai restaurant. The Siam King version was even better, with a more varied and deeper set of flavors, though less variety of vegetables. On the second visit one of us had green curry, the other yellow curry, both with chicken. Very enjoyable flavors, but again with minimal variety of vegetables—green ones in the green curry, more colorful ones in the yellow curry. All come with a choice of soup, with our choice being sweet and sour. Again very enjoyable flavor but with no tofu and fewer vegetables than we are accustomed to. The main course comes with rice, an egg roll, and the best (and prettiest) crab Rangoon we have had. Serving size of rice and menu choice was large in each case, possibly enough for two meals for some people and a real bargain at $7.99 each. We were there well after the time for the main lunch business, so there was no problem with being seated quickly and getting our food in good time. Pleasant conversations with attentive staff members. Clean rest rooms. We would advise choosing a place where the lighting is strongest, because subdued lighting made reading the menu somewhat challenging even in the brighter areas. We certainly recommend the Thai curry lunch offerings highly and plan to stop again on future trips. MAP WARNING: The map we saw on line was flipped north/south (north at the bottom and south at the top). I have since seen a correct map. The restaurant is SOUTH of the Interstate. McDonald's is farther along the same street and may be a good landmark.
