"Jacob's Memorial"; often shortened to just Zikhron; Arabic: زخرون يعكوف) is a town in Israel, 35 kilometres (22 mi) south of Haifa, and part of the Haifa District. It is located at the southern end of the Carmel mountain range overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, near the coastal highway (Highway 2). It was one of the first Jewish settlements of Halutzim in the country, founded in 1882 by Baron Edmond James de Rothschild and named in honor of his father, James Mayer de Rothschild. In 2016 it had a population of 22,660.

we heard it's a good one but we didn't have a clue so... we went there with no expectations and found a really nice restaurant, with a huge and great stone oven, and everything we asked was made right and tasted great. strongly recommended!

Place : nice , clean ,good tasted decorated, soft and pleasent background music.Service: very good and welcoming.Food: We tested several dishes , there were excellent, well made.Big verity of fresh pastas, souces and addons.Also some very interesting fish dishes and starters.Price: pasta dishes are great value for money.Fish dish may be bit high but taste decently worth it.We are keep coming back to this restaurant over and over.Thank you very much for your kind review! We highly recommend this restaurant. After reading so many poor reviews about other establishments in the area re: poor service and cleanliness, we consider Palogi quite the find. Great menu choices with excellent service, the food was fresh and delicious. We had the spinach lasagna, the lamb kabobs, and a crisp, refreshing green salad. All were wonderful and very generous portions. Our two servers were excellent: knowledgeable and professional, yet friendly. Nice range of recorded music--justbthe right volume to enjoy yet allow for conversatiin.. If weather permits, choose to sit on the patio. The owners did a great job planting a lush, gorgeous buffer between the street and the patio, however at times I found the traffic noise a bit distracting from this relaxed, cozy atmosphere that can be romantic, too. However my dining partner was not bothered by it. Simply choosing a table toward the back can help. They serve a delightful wine from nearby Amphora Winery, so be sure to try it.

Visited with weekly breakfast companion who lives nearby. He had already checked the place out with his wife and recommended.This is essentially a pleasant neighbourhood restaurant with a decent selection of food cooked properly. There are many tables outside, and some inside. The table we originally chose was half in the sun, and so we chose to eat inside. While breakfast was good, service was a bit uneven: example: our waitress had to ask another waitress whether they had grapefruit juice (after she told me that they don't) and second waitress asked a third person --and found out that they did. Example: It turned out that they didn't have what I ordered for breakfast, which is legitimate, except I don't find it legitimate to tell me 10 minutes (maybe more) after I ordered. It is possible that these ladies waiting on tables are high school students on summer vacation, but still, when I visit a restaurant I expect professional service.Other than the service , I can recommend the place. Prices are reasonable, and as previously mentioned, the food was good. I would return
