Fraschetta is tucked back from the main harbourside in Port dâAndratx although we noticed that since our last visit it now has tables down the steps and nearer the water. There is a short printed menu but we recommend asking the owner about the good array of options on the blackboard; he is justly proud to explain the dishes in detail. We have found in the past that this restaurant offers Italian dishes and Mallorcan style fish dishes â which our choices reflected on this occasion. We had no hesitation ordering the truffle ravioli as a starter. Fresh ravioli had been stuffed with a mixture of mushroom and truffle in a bed of creamy sauce; truffle was then sliced over the pasta at the table with truffle oil drizzled on top. Altogether a truffle indulgence with a price to match â but it is truffle after all! With hindsight we found it filling (and it would help with cost if one is concerned) so it would be possible to share this plentiful dish. One of our main courses was a seabream, simply grilled with garlic and herbs, filleted at the table. Seabream is a fantastic fine fish if fresh and simply cooked â and it was on this occasion. The other main was scorpion fish chosen because neither of us had eaten it before. The flesh has a meaty firm texture and didnât have as much flavour as we hoped; even though filleted at the table it still requires careful negotiation around the bones perhaps because the fleshy areas are oddly shaped just like the fish itself! Seasonal vegetables were chosen with the seabream and plain boiled potatoes with scorpion fish; all were well cooked and seasoned. We enjoy this restaurant because it offers more creative dishes than many others in the Port â but the scorpion fish was a new experience we wonât rush to repeat. However, overall we expected good food with the flavours of Italy and the sea â and thoroughly enjoyed both especially the truffle dish and seabream.

We had previosuly booked a table, but tryoing to find a waiter at this place seemed impossible. when we were eventually seated, service was rude.We had a mixed Bruschetta, which was just slices of baguette with some jamon serrnao on and tomato... The tomato topping was ok but there was absolutely no effort that went into that dish. The Pizzas are good, nothing special, just very big. The owner forgot one of our Pizzas so we ended up waiting quite a bit. When we wnated to order more drinks, he walked off half way through and came back with what we ordered but obvioulsy had to order more to which he pulled a face.Once youve eaten they just want you to go and clear the table. The staff walk around in the most inappropiate clothing, gym clothes, the "main" waiter was wearing a open shirt with his boxer shorts hanging out and just looked really dirty. Considering of the area they are in its a complete let down and I would recommend CAN PASTA next door where the service and food was excellent. The owner likes to hang picturs up with the local celebrities which is fine, but I myself have expreienced the different kind of service you get when you are with these "celebs"... You should always treat your clients the same. Safe to say, never going back. If you want Pizza in the Port go to Sandros, much better!

The restaurant is located centrally in the port on a side street with a number of restaurants. Itâs a typical Italian restaurant with Pizza and Pasta dishes. We went there as a family on a Saturday night and were completely charmed by the friendly staff. There was something on the menu for all three of our kids 16, 14, 8. So to sum up. Great location. Friendly staff. Nice food and also quite reasonably priced considering the location. Will definitely go back !

Had walked past this place on a number of occasions and was never tempted inside until some friends suggested it. What a surprise, very good service, well cooked food and sensible pricing in a town where you can sometimes be moved to tears when presented with the bill!

My wife and I went to La Piazzetta for dinner. We had been there last year and we were not disappointed. Our service was exceptional and the food was excellent. We had the calamari starter with the house sangria. For dinner entrees we enjoyed the ravioli with truffles and I had the black rice with calamari and shrimp which was exceptional. The wait staff treated us to after dinner limoncello and great conversation. If your in Port D'andrax this is a must go place!

Nothing much more to say than the food here is incredible. The service is incredible. The value is incredible. Ambiance is brilliant. If youâre in the area COME HERE. I had the Ciao Bello which is mozerella and truffle oil; who would think such a simple combination could be so so so good.

We are a modern style Italian specialising in homemade paste. We offer daily specials made from ingredients bought that day at market. We also offer a wide ranging wine list to suit all budgets.
We visited Verico in early October on an extremely busy Saturday evening. We had a large table booked & for ease of ordering, all went for the recommended four course dinner. The welcome was fine, the waiting staff friendly & efficient. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. The first course was good, stuffed courgette flowers, the second pasta course was flavoursome (albeit I am not a fan of al dente pasta) but the main fish course was served on a bed of vegetables which were blanched & so hard you couldn't eat them, let alone cut them with the blunt fish knife. I noticed most of our table left them (a couple of the men picked up the broccholi & crunched their way through...) The dessert course was a disappointment. Two of us chose the passionfruit panna cotta (we were told there were only two left...) but it was unrecognisable as such, just a sweet splodge & not set. We both ate a tiny bit & left it. So, for me, not a great culinary experience though to be fair to Verico I would try the restaurant again, maybe on a quieter night with a smaller table, when you can attract the waiter easily & try to put things right.Hello and thank you for your review. We are very sorry we did not meet your expectations . I hope you will give us another opportunity to improve your impression of us. Thank you and we hope to see you again
