Tomato Brothers

Stopped in after a late afternoon at the outlet mall. The parking lot was packed there was a 25-30 minute waiting list, but it was well worth it! We decided to wait at the bar and it was so comfortable there, we took our name of the wait-list and had our meal at the bar. Great service, lots of room to eat, and super comfortable bar stools! We started with the Artichoke Dip. OMG, was it delicious. A generous portion of dip served with slices of their famous bread sticks and a few carrot and celery strips (who eats veggies when you have all that yummy bread??). We both said next time we have a craving for Artichoke Dip, we're making the hour drive to Tomato Brothers--totally worth the trip! My friend ordered the Apple (Chutney?) Pork Chops--one of the nightly specials--and I had the Chicken Marsala. More of those bread sticks came with the meal, as well as side salads to start. Both of our meals were huge (a big night for leftovers!) and really flavorful. I ordered carry-out, too--for meals over the weekend. In addition to my leftovers, I brought home the Appetizer Combo (wings, potato skins, cheese quesadillas, and ribs)--enough for hubby to snack on that night and then the two of us to have lunch the next day. Also brought my favorite salad--the Apple Orchard--with their fabulous Poppyseed dressing (and bought a bottle of dressing home, too). Wish this was closer to home--but then again, my waistline would expand exponentially. I've tried ribs, pasta, chicken, Greek Salad, and pizza here over the years, too. Everything has always been generous portions and delicious. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner, casual or date night. It's excellent!

Cello Italian Resturant

Cello Italian Restaurant in the heart of downtown Howell, Michigan, is an affordable, approachable and fun, modern Italian restaurant & wine bar. Our menu consists of fresh pasta, seafood, traditional favorites & housemade limoncello designed and priced t

We dined at Cello after doing a web search for local Italian food. The experience was very good over all. Our server, Kristen, was attentive and helpful, pointing out favorites for us. We had some Super Tuscan red wine, that was good, though leaned more toward a Pinot, being just a bit bright. The crispy zucchini appetizer was done nicely, it came with a sauce that really did not bring out the best in the zucchini. It might have paired better with the marinara they had. Our salads were both very good. Especially the celery-fennel one, nicely balanced, not over dressed, just the right balance of flavors to set up for the following entre. My wife had the roasted chicken cavatelli, which was tasty. I opted for the lamb bolognese, that was very good. I had hoped for a bit more cohesiveness in the dish. They shredded the braised lamb, instead of grinding it, and it seemed they simply added the meat to the sauce after cooking, instead on simmering it in over some time to meld the flavors more. The depth of flavor just wasn’t what it could be with more time. Still, it was very tasty, I really enjoyed the house made pasta, which was done perfectly. We would love to go back to try some other dishes, they obviously have much to offer.

Aubree's Pizzeria & Grill

The Aubree's story begins in 1972, when Bill and Sandee French opened a little corner bar in Depot Town, Ypsilanti. Throughout the years, Aubree's has grown into the full service restaurants we are today. We not only want to exceed your expectations of qu

First enjoyed this restaurant shortly after it opened several years ago. Travel and timing such that this was the first time I could revisit. It was great then. It is TERRIFIC now.It was 3:00 in the afternoon, so service and attention were excellent. Aubree's is open, spacious and clean. For pizza and grills, the menu is loaded. Prices are moderate and potions are more than generous. I started with a bloody mary - highly recommend (first time I have ever been asked what brand of Vodka I wanted with the mix). My wife had the BLT pizza - yes, you read that right. She found it delightfully satisfying. I had a calzone, with the five blends of cheese, which was probably one of the finest I have ever enjoyed. The crust was amazing. The calzone and pizzas have some 25 different ingredient choices for adding to your order. Talk about customizing to your preference.Would heartily recommend Aubree's to anyone traveling in the area. We'll certainly work our timing to make this a more frequent stop.Hello! Gus's Carryout is convenient when you want to add breadsticks and/or salad to your meal. They have many ready made salads in their fridge by the cash register. The breadsticks are excellent. They sell a cheese on the side that goes perfectly with the breadsticks. Pizza and ribs are pretty popular too. We mainly go here for a salad and breadsticks though. Service is always prompt and professional. The prices are competitive.

Even though we live in Howell and been here almost 15 years, we never had tried Marco's Pizza.Said it was authentic Italian pizza. Spent about $17 for a large speciality pizza. First, it was NOT cut into slices. More like small bite squares which I hate. The crust was like cardboard. It really reminded me of a frozen pizza. Will not get it again.
