The pasta, sauce, and meatballs are perfect every single time we have it, and it's a real treat being served this excellent spaghetti by Vito, Joe, and Chris! The neopolitan (1/2 oil and garlic, 1/2 red sauce) is unbelievable! Can only attribute the mediocre reviews to the fact that this is not your typical spaghetti but an old family recipe that can't be imitated. Gotta try it to love it! The tavern ham and cheese (the "Griller") is also excellent.

I visit my hometown of Elmira about once a month and without fail, I have to get a pizza from Pudgie's. The pizza is consistently excellent no matter what toppings are selected, but I recommend their veggie pizza.I always pick up the pizza at the drive up window and the staff is friendly and quick.

Three friends from Elmira go here every week. We joined them on a Wednesday night. Wine was 1/2 price on this night, so that was a bargain. My draft Bud Light was only $3.00. That was a bargain.Wife loved here Lasagna, which was reasonably priced at $10.75. My "Tonight's Special" was salmon, with a side of spaghetti. The spaghetti was delicious, but the salmon left me hanging. A rather small piece, with a hard, grainy texture. At $13.95, it was not overpriced, but just not to my liking. Everyone else had their own special favorites, which they enjoyed very much. I will stick to ordering the "popular" meals instead of the "special" meals.The waitress did a fantastic job of service along with presenting us with 4 different checks - all of them accurate.

After skipping lunch for a court appearance 3 hours from home I had to stop somewhere for a bit. Luckily I found this place. The waitress was sweet and recommended the Chicken Marsala. Well it was to die for - mopped up all the sauce with my garlic knots. Wish I had order the sauce on my side of pasta!

Went for an overnight stay in Elmira and was looking for a good place to eat. We found this place, it is a bit pricey but the food was very good and the view was awesome. The staff was great too. They were very attentive. Would go there again..

I was seriously underwhelmed with the food after everyone at work who has been there raved about it. We'll only talk about the food. 1. lack of presentation2. poor quality pasta -- really, REALLY bland3. lack of complexity of flavor is the food4. the sauce -- Prego was better (and I don't eat that)The other two people had very unappealing-looking dishes. Of course...my barometer is Maggiano's Little Italy across from the Warner Center in Woodland Hills, California. Now THAT is an Italian restaurant.The verdict: IF you know what good Italian is, PASS on this. If you think McDonalds is good food, then you won't be disappointed here.Thank you so much for your feedback. We are sorry that you did not care for our establishment. The Spaziani family has been satisfying many customers for over 60 years. We are so fortunate and grateful to have a packed house and be booked up most evenings. We take pride in our restaurant and recognize we have to take the good with the bad. Lucky for us we receive mostly positive feedback. Good luck in your future food experiences.
