We stopped by for a quick snack and ordered a big supply of beradsticks with extra marinara sauce. Was tasty, lots of food, and enjoyable. The place was not busy.We went through the marinara sauce, for which we had paid extra, quickly. When i asked politely for a refill, he said you have to pay yet again. Huh, was a tiny plastic cup? I realize this is not a big deal, but to me this is not the friendliest place.

I was excited to eat here because of the good reviews, but ended up disappointed. The space is attractive but noisy, limiting conversation. Service was okay, but not great; we got our wine quickly enough but salads and entrees came slowly. Salad was nicely put together and certainly big enough that we shared one, but over-dressed. Choices are limited. Our entrees were good but not fabulous . . . . and quite lacking in color! We had the ragu and the truffle sauces. I was excited about homemade pasta but thought it was overcooked. No bread was ever offered. Bottle of wine, one salad, two entrees came to almost $100 with tip. Just not quite good enough for that.

It's been a few years since we've eaten here because they started going down hill. We decided to give them another try and I'm so glad we did. Our server Harrison was great. He was funny, very attentive, and really helped us make our wine selection.I ordered the Cheese Calzone and my husband ordered the Chicken Parm and we ended up sharing our meals. Both were excellent (and one of the best calzones I've had in a long time). The bread that came with the meal was warm, soft and oh so good.My only complaint was their salads are what we call a "weed eater salad" with fresh mixed greens and I just don't like those. But with all the food in front of us I really didn't need a salad anyway. It would be nice if restaurants would also have some iceberg lettuce for people who don't like the weed eaters. It would be nice to have a choice.

Based on reviews, we went here for our combined anniversary dinner with another couple friends. Good thing we had a reservation - even at 6 pm on a week night, the place was packed. We all liked the warm, lively vibe; friendly wait staff; great house wine.Good thing that our server informed us of the portion size that we ordered several Appetizers to share. They were truly a bite size!Everyone enjoyed their main course, but my husband's fish entree for its portion & no other side dish, we all agreed, were way too expensive for what it was.Dessert, in my opinion, was mixed bag - Cannoli was too burnt to crisp, but other desserts were yummy. Again, price was a little too high for the portion.Overall, we enjoyed the experience, most of all the ambiance of the place.

This place never lets me down. You might be surprised to hear a bianche pizza recommended as the best think you can order, but nothing tops the pistachio sausage pizza here. The menu has changed a good bit over the years, with the addition of new tasty-looking pasta options and some new appetizers, but the pizzas are consistently amazing and top even those you can get at Toro - and you won't find a wait here. Do yourself a favor and check this place out ASAP.

This place reminds me of home! This is authentic NY style pizza complete with the oil that drips down. The slices are huge so you'll only need one. Randy's is great for catering too, we use them at work often. Hands down the best pizza in Durham.

Overall a pleasant dining experience but a very noisy setting. Tables are pretty close and not a good choice for main plate dining which can be rather limited in selection. Good for vegetarians and those individuals desiring to share and try new options in food selection. Our waitress was well versed in explaining options and ingredients for your choice and selection. The waitress was an excellent staff member for the restaurant and excelled in meeting our needs.

My husband and I ordered meat lasagna which was delicious! However, I am giving a poor review because we paid $17.75 for each dinner and there was no salad included and only 3, stale rolls were brought to our table. I asked why no nice Italian bread and was told that the bakery was closed on Mondays. So we paid $38.00, plus tax and tip for 2 pieces of lasagna, a stale roll and a glass of water each. Way to expensive !

The best pizza I've ever tasted. No matter if it's plain with just mozzarella and sauce, if it's the tasty lamb meatballs or if it's the special they had the other day with prosciutto, spinach and a richer cheese whose name I can't remember. Pizzas usually come out charred which is a good thing but I like to order mine "blond" so I get less char and more dough taste. Mixed salad is fresh and moscatel dressing is very special. Ricotta dumplings have corn and truffles in the sauce and it is a fresh bite of summer. Chocolate budino for desert is chocolate pudding on steroids and is delicious. Service is always attentive and friendly. It's the perfect place to go for pizza and other extraordinary tastes.
