Has the ambience of a German stube from the '60's which has been redecorated as eclectically as only Italians can. The proprietor had Italian television with a football game in progress, and couldnt have been friendlier.Authentic Italian cuisine, excellent service. Well known by the locals. The food was really very good. I had spaghetti carbonara, my wife had calzone, both were tasty. I will return here again (and again). .

We were staying in Bad Liebenzell and popped in here for a drink one evening. Though it was right on the main road through and out of town - which road was not that easy to dash across - the place seemed unaffected by the traffic and was well sorted and quiet. So much so that we decided to dine there with relatives the following Saturday night.There was not a lot of room which indicated that it was indeed popular with the locals and the wine was choice but the food was dreadful: 1 sea food medley was lukewarm, had a few mussels, some rubbery squid and chunks of Crab Stick. Crab Stick ! 1 curried chicken was hardly warm, barely spiced and very tough,1 was more eatable but almost unspiced and 1, some kind of meat and vegetable melange was picked over in an attempt to find something to enjoy.Apart from a range of Ice Creams, the only Desert on offer was Tiramisu, only when it was ordered they didn't have it. If the food is supposedly Italian inspired they had better think again - Local Black Forest dishes, though somewhat meat heavy would perhaps had been better, at least someone local may have been able to tell them how to prepare and serve..The food gave every indication of being over cooked, but was not presented hot.There are other places to eat in Bad Liebenzell that do not have the name or the quaint building but do serve good food. Visited Saturday evening 22 March. (Perhaps it was a weekend cook).

The last time we ate here the name, the management and the menu were rather different, being redolent then of Baden-Wurtemberg. Things have changed.It would be easy to miss this establishment - being on a busy road with no easy parking - and that would be a pity.The waitress (whom we understand is part of the new management) and the Chef (the other part) try very hard to make this a good dining experience. When we were there it was by no means crowded but the service seemed disjointed. Though the Pasta and the Fish dishes were quite enjoyable (who comes to this part of Germany to eat Pizza?); the drink with a natural emphasis on Italian was rather less so.The Menu has many, many dishes, a treat for lovers of Italian food. However with ninety or so dishes, there is more apparent width than depth. For those who need to be aware of such things the Restaurant lists the 14 icons used to identify "hauptalergene" ingredients and a further 7 numbers indicating additives and preservatives. Excellent food, friendly and competent service, and great value for your money. Try the spaghetti Carbonara and home made gelato, then walk it off in the beautiful town. Bad Liebenzell is worth the trip from Stuttgart.And if you are visiting, this is the place to eat. It is usually full of locals, but if you can find a table, they will make you feel at home-and they speak excellent English!

Wie absurd, wir kamen nach 2 Wochen aus Italien wieder und hatten in dieser Zeit nicht einmal Pizza dort gegessen und so haben wir natürlich nichts besseres zu tun als in Calw in eine Pizzeria zu gehen. Mit dem ersten Bissen von unserer Pizza wurden wir jedoch zurückgeschickt in unseren Urlaub. Die Pizza war mit frischen Zutaten belegt und einfach lecker!

Great food, excellent service. Great place to get a decent meal with kids. The staff was very good and comfortable around the children and created a great atmosphere.

Very good quality ice cream, wide variety of flavors. We also had an exquisite italian wine. It is the only place in Calw with good espresso. It has very friendly staff and the service is really good.

Wir sind mit der Familie zum Abendessen da gewesen. 8 Personen von jung bis alt. Alle waren sehr zufrieden. Pizza, Salate, pasta alles mit frischen Zutaten. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Reservierung ist wohl nötig. Alle Tische waren besetzt als wir da waren.

Interessantes Speiseangebot, gute Tagesangebote, faires Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Typisch sardische Gerichte, italienische Weine. Atmosphäre ist im vorderen Bereich ganz nett, im hinteren Bereich eher kantinenartig. Zentral gelegen. Mit Beanstandungen wurde professionell umgegangen. Sehr freundlicher Service!
