We decided to visit the Montgo restaurant after looking at the Trip Advisor reviews for the district of Javea that we were staying in. Fortunately we decided to pre-book our table for 9 of us in advance and fortunately we went for the opening time of 7pm on Friday 16 August 2019.We were shown to our reserved inside table (which had been nicely laid out) by a friendly waiter who took our drinks order as soon as he saw we were comfortably seated, these were promptly served.The waiter handed us each a detailed menu which we selected from the set menu options, including starters, mains and desserts. Two of our grandsons shared a paella dish whilst the rest of us had a mixture of starters, and mains.We were served freshly baked loaves with olives and a Spanish Aioli Garlic Mayonnaise SauceOur mixture of starter dishes included the Prawn Cocktail (being elected the best) followed by the tempura Prawns, Spinach crepeâ and Roasted vegOur mains were,One LasagneâTwo Hake in batter with chipsThree Monkfish in a creamy sauceOne pork filletFor Desserts we all elected to go for the Apple Tart with Ice CreamFor drinks we ordered two beers, one bottle of Cava shared between the three ladies and a half bottle of white wine and cool drinks for the 3 boys, water was also provided.All food was nicely presented and well-cooked and enjoyed by all of us; the cost for the meal came to 136.50 Euros plus a 15 Euro tipWe left the restaurant just after 8:30 pm by which time it was packed and they were turning prospective customers away so if you are planning to visit this restaurant at the weekend itâs advisable to book in advance.

Visited this place in September 2019, its attached to a Yacht Club that has a swimming pool and a Gym that you can join without being a Sailor. The Bar Resturant is very nice and the location is great but might be difficult to locate 1st time as its at the back of the club on the front. The place is clean and the staff attentive, we did not eat but the food coming out looked good. Will go back as the location is great.

We have just returned from having a superb lunch at the Black Apple. Food was excellent, small menu and huge portions. All freshly made and served by a friendly staff. Wish we could still be here for âFizzy Fridayâ! Definitely we will be returning .

Weâve just moved to the area and came here with some friends who recommended El Cid for a carvery (the only thing I miss from England!). Fortunately theyâd booked a table because the restaurant was full. The food was presented in a buffet with the chef slicing and serving the meat who genuinely seemed to care about making sure we were happy with it. We went up for seconds too because it was so good. We had the toffee sundae for dessert which was delicious with a salted caramel sauce to die for.We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the lunch from the wonderful food, amazing views and excellent service. We were never made to feel rushed even when weâd finished eating and drinking and the staff were friendly and professional.We wouldnât hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

Movida is located in a lovely quiet spot of the port of Denia, nicely tucked away on a quiet white washed pedestrianised street. The establishment has received a very tasty, classy renovation. This is a spot you'll wanna spend some time in. Either inside in the modern, chic restaurant or the shaded terrace outside. Thankfully movida isn't like a lot of places, all style and no substance. A lot and I mean a lot of thought has gone into the menu. Down to the bread been freshly baked, onsite! We didn't hold back when ordering and the dishes got better and better. The seafood tagine was a dream. Salad, bread (with delicious alioli and tomato), starter, main, dessert to share for â¬18 each was incredible value and the meal will live long in the memory. Staff were so friendly and welcoming too, which was the icing on the cake.

Our first visit, the waitress spoke enough English to describe the dishes on offer. Two types of Menu del Dia as well as the full 'carta' menu available. Prices middling but very good value to the quality of food served. Well patronised by locals. Open from 7:30 pm Thursday to Saturday, Midday from Tuesday to Sunday. Closed Mondays.

We had eaten here two years ago when the service was excellent but the food was bland. We had tried the rather ridiculous 10 course tasting menu but found most of the courses were very bland and boring. When our friends booked a table for 4, we were interested to see if it had improved. We were totally ignored when we arrived even though we had booked. After 30 minutes we had to ask to be served a drink! It was a Saturday night but there were only 3 other tables occupied, all waiting for their food. The menu eventually arrived first in German and eventually we had to request in English. Everything sounded exciting with lavish descriptions. After another 30 minutes our order was eventually taken. Finally a free taster of goats cheese on a tiny slice of melon arrived. Very pleasant. After another ridiculously long wait our starters of tempura prawns arrived which were tasty but tiny. Onto another long wait until our mains eventually arrived! The pork was said to be good. The Moroccan chicken was very bland with a couple of small grilled fillets, just a few raisins and no sauce! It was accompanied by tasteless chips with a bowl of tomato ketchup. Not exactly the fine dining we had expected. I had ordered the beautifully described special Galician steak and was excited by its arrival. I had ordered it al-punto or medium rare but when it arrived one cut revealed it to be totally dry and tepid. I had no option to send it back as it was a costly 25 euros. Eventually the replacement arrived and was plonked in front of me. It was still medium rather than rare but when the cook stormed out of the kitchen to demand if there was any reason his second attempt was not acceptable, I felt I better accept defeat!!!! At least it was warm! Not exactly perfect customer service!A desert or coffee was not offered and we decided after waiting 3 hours it was not worth the further extended wait. Sadly we shall not return and I would recommend others to avoid it!!!! The establishment is run by one very inefficient male waiter and one extremely slow male cook.

The location is wonderful with amazing views, the food is excellent and the wines remarkably good value for money. But what really set this restaurant apart was the amazing service we received. The lady who served us (can't remember the name, short hair with glasses) was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Best I've seen in many months.

We visited with my in-laws who live nearby. It was a really wonderful evening. The restaurant looked magical with beautiful Christmas decorations. Lovely service from one of the most charming and efficient waiters we have ever encountered. The proprietor who manages front of house is equally charming and made us feel very welcome. The food was out of this world. Really superb. We honestly couldnât fault it at all and canât wait to return on our next visit. Quite a few reviews mention the price but we thought for what we had it was very good value - three courses each for four people, two aperitifs, two bottles of wine and four digestifs for 250e. For a meal of that quality that is very reasonable.
