The place itself is really nice and pleasant. The staff are incredibly polite and we got an English menu. Tried the beef soba, clear soup and sushi. All very ok, wouldn't say gastronomic, but decent. I'm not a big fan of soba, but my partner had the "clear soup" (clam soup) and sushi, which she liked.

Torii is a casual Japanese restaurant very close to the Istukushima shrine (the Tripadvisor pin is way off the mark!). Theirspeciality seems to be is oysters, served in several ways: cooked in their shells on a grill, deep-fried... I took the grilled ones, that were really big and juicy, one could season them wit local soy sauce-vinegar type sauce. Delicious, and not at all too expensive! My portion was 6 fat oysters, practically enough for lunch. If you want a smaller sample of oysters you can buy just two from the outside grill and eat standing there. Torii also serves at least noodles and tempura: our family of four found suitable portions for all and we left happy.

Stopped here for lunch. Limited choice focused on eel. We found the cold soba very good and the prices reasonable (2000 yen for a 2 cold soba one of which with some eel and rice)
