Is this the best Indian food I have had? No probably not, but it was tasty enough. Servings are a little on the small side and initially we only had one small container of rice between two of us, but they quickly brought a second when asked.I would eat here again, but think I would rather sample a few different smaller dishes than have one average sized main again. Value wise it was not bad by Oslo and Norway standards.

This restaurant is a few doors down from the Air B&B we rented during a month in Oslo. We were working with university students on a study abroad journalism and some nights cooking dinner was just too much.I dropped in here one evening walking from the metro to our flat and ordered take-out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The wait wasn't long, but I had a chance to look around and though to myself, "Hmmm, if this food is any good we could eat hear one evening."I took my bag of goodies and raced home to eat my dinner. My husband wouldn't be home till later so I tucked his in the fridge.My Jogan Rosh was wonderful! I had asked for medium spice and it was pretty close - perhaps erring on the less spicy side. I had planned to save half the naan, for spouse, but ate every bite without guilt.Spouse's reheated fish curry - a house specialty - had him smiling with pleasure.This was good food.

We went on last day of our OSLO trip. The food taste was very mediocre ( have tried around 7-8 Indian restaurants in my 2 weeks Denmark and Norway trip, this being the worst). The masala mutton dish didnât tasted fresh at all however Dal Makhni was ok. The service of a lady waitress was very proactive and good however some major attitude issues with the head waiter and the manager. We were charged NOK 30 for a single onion which was no where mentioned on the Menu. For the price you pay for this mediocre food and the wrong attitude itâs more of a Blemish than a jewel.Dear Guest,We thank you for your valuable feedback. It is really disappointing to hear that the food at our restaurant did not fall into your taste. We strive to provide quality and taste in all the dishes we offer. Our very responsible manager took your order, certainly you were asked about the food twice, you should have mentioned that you didn't like it. Our service minded and hard working chefs would have made it perfect meal to meet your expectations , even if they had to do it as many times. if you had really went to other fine dining restaurants in Denmark or Norway then you must be aware that some restaurants even charge for water (Don't want to mention it that we give it for free) but as you are mentioning about a salad that costed you 30 NOK I would like tell that In our restaurant you get complimentary pickles, chutneys and a platter of pappadum with salad and raita. This used to be the best in Oslo. Ok, the food was ok. But the service was ...weird..? First the waiter misunderstood some drinks order and that is fine, but it was a bit of an effort to get his attention. Then the chicken in one of the starters was not cooked through. Ok, it was taken back and the guest got something else, w/o discussion. Then a napkin was full of stains. My lettuce had brown spots. Then , before dessert, another waitress came and just organised our table and looked and smiled oddly at us. Nobody asked if we wanted dessert. Then another waiter came and did almost the same. We realized they wanted us to leave. Ok. So we paid and left.

It was our first day, so this restaurant just beside the hotel was convenient. It was quite busy, but service was friendly, fast and efficient. We had the lamb & chicken curry which was really delicious & authentic. These were served with rice.Everything was piping hot & had a generous amount of familiar Indian spices. While waiting for the orders, popadums were served with 3 dips and water was free-flowing. A good place for reasonably-priced genuine Indian food in madly expensive Oslo. Dining out is a luxury in this city!

I enjoyed two meals here. First on my own, and then with a group of colleagues (on my recommendation). On both occasions the service was gentle and nicely paced. The food was as I might hope it to be, with tender meat, deliciously spiced sauce (at the heat level I requested), and beautiful naan bread. With a table of 8 people, the service was just as good and they were very accommodating with payment of the bill. My colleagues who live in Oslo were delighted to find such a good Indian restaurant, and promise to go again.

Excellent drinks and food, a good selection of delicious vegetarian/vegan dishes and very patient and helpful staff. The atmosphere is also nice, I'd say it's more laid back than most Indian restaurants. After this experience, I won't go anywhere else for Indian food in Oslo.
