We are small indian restaurant located in a historical area of central Kanazawa city. Here you can have authentic indian food for lunch and dinner. And we have relocated the restaurant to a very close new building, which is on another side of Seseragi St

We felt like a change from Japanese and based on TA reviews decided to give this place a goFrom the time we walked in the door it felt like a good decision. Friendly staff who are trying very hard to please and delicious food. We started with steamed dumplings that were recommend as one of their specialties and then chicken tikka and mutton curry with cinnamon as mains, with rice and a huge nann bread as sides. The curry was amazing Give it a try

We like trying Indian food when we travel and since this restaurant was recommended by our travel agent, we decided to give it a whirl. Spice Box is a small, unassuming restaurant with a few stand-alone tables and a bar-seating option facing the kitchen where you can watch the cooks do their thing. The owner was interesting to talk to and told us a bit about his move to Japan from Sri Lanka, which made the dining experience extra special. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the experience and recommend this restaurant for Indian food in Kanazawa.

We tried SriLanka Kitchen after having a delicious dinner at their sister restaurant, Spicebox (also in Kanazawa) in December 2015. The food here is simply phenomenal and is excellent value for money. The staff (particularly the kind and friendly Fernando) speak excellent English and are often able to tweak your curry to make it a little spicier, should you wish. We had the popular Sri Lankan Banana Leaf lunch which was such a feast for all of the senses. There were so many beautiful fragrances and flavours - I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We were made to feel very welcome, as were all of the other patrons. This place seems equally popular with locals, as well as visitors like us. Well worth a trip up one flight of stairs - well worth it!
