Visited alcove with my family and friends. We ordered a variety of starters and mains. However the mains were not as good, but better than town one. The thing with alcove is just enjoy the starters with chilli garlic naan. The starters I recommend are Crispy Corn, Shezwan Fingers, Shanghai Patato, Shangai Three Treasure, Chicken Lollipop for chicken Lovers. Dont order the chicken Tikka its not very good. However overall a great ambience, service is decent and starters are amazing, Mains are a NO NO for me.

We managed to escape the harassment of the Ferry Port and tried to find somewhere to sit and eat before going to the airport. Thankfully we heard about this place and it was perfect. It's a cross between a cafe/diner type of restaurant. Big menu, with a hot plate counter so you can see many of the food on offer. I had Chicken tikka boneles with Masala chips. It was very very tasty food and was in a busy little side street where you can watch the locals go about their business. Not expensive either, so would definitely recommend!

Felt much better than my last visit. The place looks cleaner and more spacious than my previous visit. A big plus is for parents with small kids. They have a play area and kids like to go and play in the area. Indian food is tasty, must try their bbq dishes. Staff are always courteous and always at a call. The bar menu is acceptable and offers most popular drinks.

The prices have been reduced tremendously, the service was decent, but the ambience is the best ive seen in Tanzania till date. We ordered a variety of non veg dishes, from prawns to mutton dishes to chicken kebabs, but the star dish was the tandoori chicken it was outstanding and the best ive had in Dar.

Zaika restaurant was the chosen venue for our farewell. What a great choice!!! Ms. Jen did all the arrangements for us and the party went off like clock work, everything was perfect! The food was great and the service was wonderful!! Prices are reasonable! Ms. Jen and her staff went over and above to make my guests comfortable. The setting was very appealing.
