The menu is affordable and the cafe is air-conditioned which was a perfect shelter from the Dar heat. The staff are welcoming and friendly. I loved the furnishing which is a combination of elegance and playfulness. Wow , apart from being a a classy hotel like Ramada , Africana Grill was a pleasant surprise and probably the only fine dining restaurant in the country! We enjoyed some of the best international wines and signature cocktails , but the highlight of the evening was Lobster Thermidor and the King Crab ! Don't miss the beef tartare and the Beef Tenderloin, just delicious .. a must visit restaurant, and the entire service and ambience was romantic and upclass , congrats guys , fab experience, we will be back soon ... Good food is always complimented by an excellent wine. The wine list at Grill House is an experience. Management have gone out of their way to ensure you can pair a great wine with an excellent meal, be it a meat or fish. Service was great, had a long chat to the manager who really seems to have his finger on the pulse of hospitality. The day after my arrival in Dar, this was the first restaurant I visited. Man, what a fantastic panoramic view! The restaurant is a comfortable, relaxed space situated on a rooftop. Great views and photo opportunities allow the capture of nearby neighborhoods and the ocean at a distance. The menu included steaks and seafood. However, we opted for a lunch of tapas and cocktails which were delicious. I also enjoyed my very first Kilimanjaro beer. I highly recommend this restaurant as a great stop in Das Es Salaam.

I have to agree with the other reviewers here regarding the staffs. They are all friendly. The restaurant is ok, looks clean but a bit squeezed. I didnât like that they have a smokerâs cabin though,itâs like Iâm back in one of those European cities with a separate area for smokers,why donât you just go Non-Smoking restaurant period. After all, itâs a restaurant where you should smell the food not cigarettes. We ate the steak, it is not bad but I wouldnât order it if we ever go back, the schnitzel is soggy, ( lived in Vienna,Austria) Moderately priced food which is ok. But Iâm really surprised of the reviews,overrated in my opinion.

The restaurant is located inside Coral beach hotel. Friendly staff and rather quick service. The view are the fantastic at sunset. I recommend the chicken skewer.
