One of the few places in Dar that are quiet and good for adults. In a town where most places are "family friendly", it is nice to have a place for adults who want to have a quiet evening with good wine. They have a good selection of wines from South Africa, a few from France, Span, and Argentina, even one or two American wines. You can find something that suits your tastes. The food selection is limited to snacks, but there is a wonderful vegetarian restaurant right next door where you can order food and enjoy the wine from Vino. Highly recommended for date night or a quiet evening for grown-ups.

Conveniently located for a quick snack. One of few cafes to be found in Dar. As the name suggests, this place is famous for its teas. There is a selection of snacks too. Our order took too long which was frustrating considering it was not busy at the time. The Zanzibar mix was too bland and disappointing. The parathas were ok and the coffee was fine.Overall not a pleasant experience which was a shame as we were really looking forward.

Especially for breakfast and lunch I'm here regularly. Wonderful smoothies and for food also some good veggie options. It's great to go with friends, but also if you go by yourself to do some work as it's quiet and pleasant. Relaxed couches to hang out and dining tables with seats in case you bring your laptop. The gallery on the compound is worth a visit with by renowned Tanzanian artists. One of my favorites.

So we saw them on Insta and thought wow! The cakes looked so good! The presentation! Like you could order an assortment of cake slices... so I insisted we stop by and do this. Well, huge mistake! They seemed to not know what to do or what we actually wanted... the girl at the counter was busy talking to someone about God knows what and counting some money... the guy who finally came to ask what we needed did not understand... but still went to the back to “get a box” for what we needed even though there were only 2 cakes to speak of... I reserved judgement because who knows right? We were standing there for a good 8 minutes (I counted after it felt like he’s gone to actually buy the box somewhere else) and when he finally emerged from the back, he was holding a box that he was planning on reusing for us! I’m not sure what the box originally had but I don’t think it was safe for what we needed... I pointed this out... they seemed perplexed... by this time I was very annoyed and walked out... I will NOT stop by ever nor will I recommend anyone go there to be subjected to this kind of treatment... like what the heck? Almost felt like I was being punked but the cameras never materialized.Do NOT waste your time...1 Star is for the ambiance that I experienced before speaking to anyone there... seriously NOT worth it!Wow! Hi, I'm not sure what happened. I'm very sorry to hear about your experience and also sad that you didn't get to try our cakes. It definitely sounds like there was a misunderstanding. All of our take-away containers and boxes are new but the larger ones must be stapled together. I'll speak to our supervisors to enquire further on this matter. If you can send a PM on Instagram I'd greatly appreciate this so that I can make sure something like this doesn't happen again. Most importantly I'd like to win you over with a proper caking experience. We are a small business and we do make mistakes but we always try to make things right.

The service was quick during lunch (although we came as a big group!) and professional. Rhapsody's Masaki is inviting with a great space around a tree and a superb art-collection, totally worth it whwther you sit inside or outside. Would warmly recommend!

Our electrician is servicing the faulty parts and soon we will have all the desserts back on the menu.Thank you.

So, I loved it and I didn’t but the lemon cake alone and the customer service on my last day here brought my review to 4.What do I mean? I found out this place through my friend who gets her mocha fix here on almost a daily basis... she insisted we stop before heading to the beach (my first time), I wasn’t thrilled, if I can find the same thing in NYC (“Central Park”) or my town? I didn’t want to do it here... I was all about Swahili food... she says, they have the best donuts! Ok, I’m listening, my child loves donuts... I was willing to try. then bring some to my child. Yep, you guessed it... they were sod out. Alright no biggie... next time... we order. I personally Love lemon anything and like to consider myself some sort of a connoisseur when it comes to food, especially anything with lemons. So we get tea, some coffee and different pastries etc. and lo and behold... the lemon cake..... cue the angels singing here... it was the BEST lemon cake ever! Something for the books!!! We ordered the rest of it...I go here 2 other times; the third time we had actually forgone brunch at this really nice hotel... this is the day I was highly annoyed! There were a lot of us, you’d think this would be a good thing. Well, it wasn’t... we sat outside at their bigger table then asked one of the waitresses to help bring another small table (other than one couple there were no customers in the back.) the waitress obliged and my husband got up to help. She said no, not to bother and called another waitress to help... well, she didn’t want to do it because “their boss told them not to do this?” The tables were not to be moved? I asked if she was serious, like what the heck? They’d rather have empty table than accommodate a bigger party? So annoyed... the other one sorta begs her and she complied... I was highly annoyed...she really acted like she did not want to be there and that’s not fun for customers who came to have fun you know? So irritating!I think the other waitress got this, she was the only one helping us (there should have been two in my opinion but whatever.) I did however let them know that if you don’t want to work, don’t show up and emit your bad energy, it really sucked...The food was alright, I mean fried eggs are fried eggs...unless there’s something I haven’t had... the baked beans were meh (cold) and the waffles and pancakes weren’t a hit with the kiddos... maybe they were a tad different from the American ones so I wouldn’t hold this against them (I didn’t try.)Buuuuuuuut, the lemon cake though.... if you like lemon cake or interested it’s worth a trip...Never got to taste the donuts though, PSFor folks with younger children, they have a real cute play place in the back... the babies in our party had a blast.Dear Proudmama35,Firstly I would like to thank you for visiting us and also for providing us with feedback on our performance at the cafe. We are in a business that requires us to provide regular training to our staff and feedback like yours is very important to us as it highlights our shortcomings and helps us improve, so thank you! With regards to our staff and their attitude, we did manage to identify which ones attended your table and have already spoken to them individually on their performance. We do have a rule that restricts patrons to move tables around, only because we want our staff to do so to avoid any injuries and to keep a structure to the place, which is the case in all restaurants. It makes no sense to forbid our staff from accommodating large parties, which we have many of. We do apologize for this one off experience you faced by one specific staff member.Thank you for loving our Lemon Cake, it is one of our best sellers and we love it too! We hope if you do come back to our beautiful country and city, that you gives us another chance. Thanks again.Kind Regards,Bobby

I was so impressed with this restaurant. Very friendly staff and excellent food. If I come back I will bring my family here. The children’s area looked fun, but there was plenty of seating choices inside and out. I had a seafood starter and a classic chicken in white wine sauce. Each course was exquisite. My photo does not do the meal justice.
