Second business trip to Dar in two years. Both times stayed at Masaki peninsula. Tried many restaurants here and most are average at best, including the acclaimed Mamboz and the waterfront restaurant.This is a fairly good authentic Sichuan restaurant and reasonably priced. But be realistic about the food quality in Dar, this is not London, Istanbul or even Atlanta.Portions are huge, had the fish, beef with chillies, predawn fried rice and the excellent deep fried aubergine chips plus couple of other vegetable dishes.

Super clean, well appointed restaurant in Dar Es Salaam. Had many vegetarian and vegan options, and a full selection of sweets (mithai) as well. Everything was great value for money and tasty, with the only downside being I couldn't help ordering too much and then couldn't finish everything.The thali in particular was a great value, with a good mix of items--I didn't get it, my companion did, and if I hadn't been full to bursting I would have taken some of that as wellWe are very happy to hear from you; especially the acknowledgement to our food portion! This is our go-to Chinese restaurant in Dar. The restaurants is clean, the food is tasty and there is a wide variety of meals which are served in good portions (value for money). The service is good- staff is attentive and respectful.Highly recommend the sweet and sour pork, beef in oyster sauce, chicken wings and steamed dumplings.

I recently visited Dar Es Salaam and I wanted to have Chinese cuisine so I visited mainland China and I really enjoyed the food. Their chilli paneer is the just the best and lobster Sichuan chilli dry. They also have varieties of dimsum.

Stayed at a hotel in DAR without room service so I had to order food for delivery. Tried Mamboz for the first time. Food is good, delivery on time. The only thig is that I ordered for mild spicy shrimps but it eneded up still very spicy for me.
