We have been to Raj Gaylord's on a number of occasions, as we love Indian food. The quality of the food is excellent, but the prices are more expensive than most city-centre restaurants. The quality of the service ranges from dismissive to average/acceptable, and does not match the prices charged.

Sambhar to die for- hats off to the chef! Enjoyed dosa and Sambhar. Worth the wait. Excellent Service with a smile inspite of being busy. Highly recommend.

We went to this restraunt for Sunday lunch after reading reviews but very disappointed..as restaurant and server was not at all welcoming ..basantha .his name..does not wanted to work...zero customer services..I ve ever seen in my life.. worthless food..above all server needs lots of training on customer service..will never visit again

It was a cool evening and we wanted to have a nice warm meal together, my partner and myself had to keep our coats on as it was just as cold inside as outside (the heating was not on).Poor service, the waitress and waiter have no knowledge of the menu.(They needed to check with the kitchen to find out what ingredients are in the dish).Try to find them online - you won't!You can bring you own bottle of wine - as you won't get on here.Beer is from a bottle, that you are not given - they pour it into a glass and bring the glass to the table..The menu is the same as the take away menu (Dishes are 2⬠more expensive if you eat in) and check out the menu... for example..Veg Dishes(see chicken dishes for ingredients)Lamb Dishes(see chicken dishes for ingredients)Prawn Dishes(see chicken dishes for ingredients)This place should just be a "Take-away" and nothing else (they could do much more with the premises than what they have done)

Not sure about the new name as I know a few people who won't eat Coriander.More importantly tho, the food is fantastic. The vegetable Bhaji is one of the nicest starters I have ever had in an Indian. Tikka masalla main was good and the garlic naans were huge. One between two is more than enough.Overall a really good experience. We will recommend to friends and return.

We had our second takeaway from the Royal Bengal last night, and we weren't disappointed however felt that there was something lacking.Now, don't get me wrong - the food is tasty and I can't say that we didn't enjoy it but we did feel that it wasn't bursting with flavour. I had a Butter Chicken, but it felt like it was lacking something. Maybe not enough Cashews, or Kasuri Methi when being prepared - note: I make my own butter chicken at home, always so maybe I'm comparing to my home cooking but I would expect an Indian restaurant to far surpass my own cooking.I did enjoy it though, I just felt it was missing something.My wife really enjoyed hers and there was just the right amount of spice to the meal too.We will definitely order again, as there isn't much choice for good Indian cuisine in Ballincollig but Royal Bengal is definitely the best in the area. Much nicer than the Indian in Kerry Pike, and any other around :-).
