A great choice for breakfast in Gouna. Different choices are offered, healthy options like granola bowls and fresh fruits as well as eggs, cheese and cold cuts are all available. We shared a Gounie’s deluxe breakfast which was very fulfilling for 2 people. I am a coffee lover and was very happy with cappuccino in Malu’s. What makes this place unique also is it’s location facing Abu tig marina. And in cold weather seating is on the other side which is warmer with less wind.

OK, I’m biased: a friend of mine runs this place but: to be honest, once you’ve entered the cafe, you could be in any little English town, Durham, Mansfield, Keswick, Mousehole, the staff and clientele are polite and friendly, the cats are calm, funny, relaxed. And that’s impressive because they’re all street cats that are looked after and hopefully find ‘forever homes’ from amongst the customers. You can relax in the Cuddle Corner with one of the feline denizens or work in the Craft Corner with some of the humans. The food is excellent, home cooked and tasty. There is a range of teas, coffees and soft drinks - try the fresh lemon, it’s great on a hot day - but whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the carrot cake: delicious! The customers are a mix of locals, ex-pats and visitors and there’s always an interesting conversation to be had or you can relax in the shade.I wish I’d found the place earlier in my stay, but now I’ve been, it shall become a regular haunt.I thoroughly recommend this tea room and shall certainly be back. Thanks for your review - hope to see you very soon
