On the strength of our last visit, we came back and again was not disappointed. The menu is a little smaller in selection than last time but WOW every dish is fantastic and we enjoyed our time here again. Do not order too many dishes at once, pace yourself and order in small clusters to get the best out of each dish!

Cuchareo (that could be translated as "going spooning") is a typical Andalusian word which refers to traditional home-made meals eaten with spoons. Cristina and Anselmo, the owners of decuchareo28, aim at recuperating the old concept in Southern Spain of "casas de comidas", that is, places where the people went to have lunch every day, feeling like at home, not only in terms of food, but also surrounded by a friendly atmosphere. I have to say that they have really achieved their goal: in a city full of "nouvelle-cuisine" gastro-bars, it is refreshing to have this marvelous little restaurant with typical Sevilian dishes made the traditional way and surrounded by locals. As a resident in Seville, I strongly recommend decuchareo28 if you really want to taste this beautiful and magical city

When you canât face one more tapas meal - FILO is a great alternative for a healthy breakfast/lunch. My rye bread with avocado, salmon and poached eggs was delicious. A word of warning - ask for the eggs hot as they usually serve cold. Thanks for your opinion.It is true that we have everything for starting the day with energy for example with our energetic breakfast.We usually warn the poached eggs with hot water before serving, we do not know why it was cold but we assure you that is not the way to serve it. We were staying nearby and this was a delicious last night out in Seville. Very friendly service tolerating our trial of Spanish patiently. Our waiter politely explained the menu and our initial dubious wine choice...The croquettes were so delicious I canât remember what else we ate but it was all great.

We found this restaurant not very far from plaza del Duque and we had a great experience. The chef Gonzalo was a great host and was very helpful explaining us the menu and giving us advice on what to order. The ingredients are locally sourced, good quality, and fresh. They also have a few vegetarian options and some of them are vegan. The cuisine is traditional but with the chef's personal touch. If you want to try something different in Seville this restaurant is a good choice.Thank you very much Juan M.
