We first stopped at this place for the happy hour cocktails and tapas which were both lovely btw. We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and how helpful they were particularly over vegetarian choices on the menu.We returned another night for dinner and it lived up to our expectations. We enjoyed it so much we went back for more tapas and cocktails on our last day.

Steak house aperitif and wine bar
We took the Corsican specialities and as there was a choice of 2 starters, mains and desserts we took one of everything and swapped plates. It was all delicious and such interesting combinations. The staff looked after us very well in spite of our limited French and even phoned for a taxi at the end of the meal no charge. The Muscat wine although shown as an aperitif went well with all the food in my view.

La Taverne, beef and beer bar.
We went here after looking through the reviews and as it was a Monday evening there was not a great deal of choice. We both had ribs and a good bottle of local Corsican red wine. The ribs weâre really well cooked, the Louisiana sauce was great and plentiful. We each had a dessert, mine was Lemon meringue, a big portion, more than I was expecting after a large portion of ribs.. all in all a good leisurely evening out..

We went to Bastia in late winter and had hardly any restaurant was open. This restaurant was one of the few open ones. The waiter was very polite and friendly and took utmost care that we got the food that we needed. We enjoyed the pizza and the pasta and would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Bastia.
